PM Hasina wants Bangladesh’s per capita income to be $12,000 by 2041

Thanks Mr Black_cats , however Is hoping for more discussion, as it ppl like him that's holding the country back.

Granted alhamdila most of the p.o.s have been hanged, others haven learnt to stay in their place. How ever there ones like him that need to be weeded out.

Either he is one of the above 3 agents, or he is completely dumb and needs re-educating?

He lives in Japan and went there as an illegal migrant by jumping out of the ship in 70s.

That being said he seems naive to me and as an old guy of 60s has a very specific mind set that hardly you can change.

He also seems anti Muslim as well so I won’t put him on razakar category but a sympathizer? Probably. He is from Faridpur and if I am not mistaken there are big lots of them there.

On topic achieving 12000 USD May need 7-8% constant growth until 2041 that’s little challenging. I believe 8000-10000 is realistic target.

That's very dubious, this seems have good English the stuff comes out with seems that he has had an high eduction. It also seem he has a good grasp of Japanese language.

He must be an educated professional, or he is soke kind of mid level worker that's skilled in a vocational field.

Colonial Sepoys and their PDM minions are aiming for $1200 for Pakistanis by 2041.

So with $12000 per capita income Bangladesh’s gdp will be $2.2 trillion if really that per capita income can be achieved by 2041.

With projection of $1 trillion @bluesky was having nightmare but this time with projection of $2.2 trillion by PM Hasina @bluesky surely will have a heart attack. :omghaha:

Entirely feasible, $12k income as well as the indian trolls heartattack.

I would be very careful about making a statement like that.

Vietnam is a huge re-exporter of MNCs and could soon fall into the "middle-income" trap like Thailand and Brazil etc.

BD has extremely high value-add from it's exports.

BD will catch up as time goes by since it is coming from a lower base - my money would be on BD being ahead in per capita than Vietnam by 2050.

BD RMG value addition is around 60%. In some measures it can be considered fairly middling or low value addition. It is our low labour cost that continues to gives us the competitive advantage in our biggest export sector although without doubt development of excellent and extended logistics chain is now also enhancing our competitive advantage.

In many areas such as pharma, IT, white goods, processed food BD is moving up the value chain leading to import substitution and then export. Catching up with Vietnam should not be the goal due to its special circumstance. Incountry value addition may not be that much in vietnam as they finish off chinese goods to get around rules of origin issue.

BD simply needs to concentrate on itself and continue to build a strong broad-based economy, the numbers will follow.

Right from the start this almost couple of decades ago on the bengali/bdeshi forum. This guy was coming out with so much rubbish, but in wordy way that a naive person would have fallen for it.

If i could pull up all the posts in which the direction that he wanted bdesh to go in, well bdesh would have been worse off than pak.

Also even well independent almost unbiased financial houses confirming bdeshs economic growth. He refutes saying its all fake at times.

He wanted bdesh to go back intime and experiment hand craving a stone wheel then eventually come up to some form 19th century industrialisation a few hundred years later.

I think at one point this guy even wanted bdesh to replicate colonial cargo and transit ocean going ships. Things have moved on from there.

This guy must have some massive internalised racism and inferiority complex.

Or he is razkar.

Or he is pak or indo pretending to be bdeshi.

Remember pak and indo - (bengalis exist ) a.a alom is one of them, well he's half bengali at least and a complete traitor to bdesh.

Not a razakar....no such thing exists now.

But is an indian troll.

Bangladesh's industrial structure is more advanced than Vietnam?

That is mainly due to the fact that BD needs to import most of the cotton it needs to produce garments, unlike a lot of other producers like India and Pakistan.

We are looking at around 10% of the manufactured price of garments here and so when you take this out, the value-add in garments starts approaching 70%, which is a respectable figure.

Most of the rest where BD has control will come with time as BD garment industry rises to become the next 100 billion US dollar garment exporter. It will manufacture a lot more of the raw materials itself, like it is starting to do in pharma with the new API park that was set up last year.

As for the rest like education, skills etc that will come with time as BD still needs 15-20 years to even catch up with India in the education sector. It leads S Asia in secondary education quality now according to an independent analysis published last year but Indian universities are still significantly better than BD ones.

BD needs to focus on itself and carry on this path of economic development as it has so much more potential left untapped. Vietnamese can do their own thing.

If the BD population remains stable in 2041, then the GDP becomes (180 million x $12,000) = 2.1 trillion dollars.

It seems that Hasina Bibi is now sure that Western countries will not accept a voteless midnight election in early 2024.

No wonder, Hasina is raising the stake by faking even the future as election propaganda. Even Goebol of Germany looks like a child in the presence of the BAL party propaganda machine.
