Well, there's no set criteria, basically your posts must be of high quality, you must have an exemplary posting record, must be well rooted in an argument, must be able to hold your own stuff like that........

BTW, welcome new 5 to the 'Blue Brigade'......

The ability to conduct cogent arguments beyond one-liners is a start. That's not to say that long, rambling posts are any better. Basically, content.

An impressive understanding of issues facing Pakistan (military, social, economic) and commitment to finding solutions is also a factor. Think tank is only for Pakistanis and uniformity of views is not a prerequisite. We have a mix of wildly divergent views on many topics.

The number of posts is not an issue beyond a certain amount needed to establish a pattern, and the number of thanks has zero relevance.

Correction , that term is used extensively even when the so referred THINK TANK is in his prime cool .
