My friend, you think JI has not inflicted any harm, it is all talk? In my opinion, based on what little I have read about Pakistan's history, it was JI that first introduced the so-called 'religious politics' in Pakistan. It was the Machhi Goth convention of 1953, in which they decided to take active part in Pakistani politics and aim for acquiring power. JI is cutting Pakistan's roots since 1953, whereas Altaf is a recent development in comparison.

I would not go into detail discussion maybe the organization that had first contact had put the nation into confusing situation by supporting them since 80's up till 9/11 and in between even helping them played double game. Major responsibility and blame goes to them again i would not point finger at IK or even fazlooo but the main organization that played the sinister role for more than 2 decades. Why do you think TTP just surfaced after 2004 no they are the same jihadist of 80's tagging a different group name doesn't mean they are all new. By all means go for operations against them but the damage is already severe. Now the game is not just ops but now the game is actually who are the ones who are willing to drop their weapons talk with them and those who want to be aggressive operations is the only way forward...lets understand things keeps on changing so situation should be assessed from time to time. I still don't understand and is confusing why establishment supported talibanis after 90 and even recognized them what did they give us in return..

Why do you think that we do not blame the political and military leadership for the blunders of the past ? I am well aware of the origins of the present conflict , the lack of wisdom and farsightedness on part of the " real handlers " of this country and the delusions of the commander of the faithful Zia-ul-Haq in the 80's . The decision to participate in Afghan war was the worst one in the history of Pakistan made intentionally and enthusiastically . We have flirted just too much with Mullahs and Ummah , of course there will be repercussions and unintended consequences . Which is why , I think that Musharraf wasn't really left with any " escape " option after the threat to send Pakistan into the stone age . The present mess is all ours , all this India , America and Afghan sponsored Taliban has little basis in reality , because the " Mujahids " have returned once again to liberate Pakistan from the kaafir regime - yes these are our men just as the Lion of Panjshir Ahmed Shah Massoud was , just far too worse , mate . The damage and result is extremism and terrorism in the country , why do not my countrymen understand that drugs have withdrawal and dependence effect too ? Of course , the drug use of the decades and the resultant damage will not be mended in a single night . But trust me , we gain nothing by diplomacy with an already confused-to-the-core nation , because if the negotiations are to fail and they will fail eventually , the people will not blame the extremists because you have radicalized masses here , they will rather blame the Govt . The blame was never on Imran Khan or a couple of other religiously seduced politicians really , its just that they are adding to the whole confusion concoction with their disturbing and mind boggling statements . I can understand pointing the fingers at the culprits of the past but why should I not point it at that of the present on which a couple politicians will top the list ?
