Are you implying PLA will occupy Pakistan and deploy the Type-99 tanks in the occupied territories?
Since, I have not come across any news/rumors/gossip of PA acquiring Type-99 tanks.

Friend's dont occupy each other, they share there resorces.

Is america occupying japan or panama or germany or turkey.

Where do China plan to deploy these tanks?
Who are the possible enemies that China is focusing on for tank battles?
I suppose its next to impossible to deploy these in the Indo-Chinese mountaneous border. They cannot be deployed against Taiwan or Japan. There is almost negligible chance of armed conflict with Russia or CAR states.

----Many people believe that Type 99 MBT is a good tank. But why China developed this kand of tank? Personally I think, as a large country, China must have many good tanks,if not, China can't be a large country. The PLA land force has almost 5000 Type 59(base on T55),500 Type 69 and Type 79,1000 Type 80\85\90,600 Type 96 and more than 300 Type 99.China has almost 7000 MBTs and more panzers, the PLA land army has more than 1500 thousand soldiers.
----What are the Type 99 tanks used for? I believe that they are used for defend peace at the first.If China doesn't have any tanks,she would be attack by US,India,Vietnam. Furthermore,if there is civil war between China mainland and China Taiwan,the Type 99 would be sent to Taiwan immediately.If the war escilate,Type 99 may fight M1A2.Last but not the least,T99's target wouldn't be Russian,China and Russia are strategic partners.

This tank can get Lasa,the largest city of Tibet, because the Qing Tibet railway reach there. Russia needn't worry,first is that China and Russia are friends,second is that Russia has excellent tanks also.

indian army employs same excellent Russian tanks(T90),even their ARJUN tanks out class T90 in recent trials.
so whats china's intentions ,to use the Himalayan landscape for these laser dazzlers tanks ,but tanks are not meant for such areas they will be slayed by portable

Al-Khalid 2 would be the backbone for PAK Army in the near future and Pakistan needs to be able to produce more advanced tanks on its own.

Hopefully China will assist Pakistan to develop Al-Khalid 2 and makes it at least comparable to the late variants of Type 99.

I heard the rumor that Al-Khalid 2 would be around 60 tonnes? It it is true, then it is indeed a Super Main Battle Tank that should be able to match Type 99G.

Buddy you should understand that the core interests of PAK-China has always been tied together. Without Pakistan, China's western border would never be secured. Without China, Pakistan won't receive too much help from other nations. We need each other in order to survive together!!!

leopad & T99 have quite difference in weight.also T99 have 2 wheels less compared to no in leopad(both side)
frankly speaking ARJUN more seems like LEOPAD, external structure resemble almost 90% .although latest leopad may be some what different.

TYPE 99 looks similar to russian T90s.
