No matter how bad mqm or musharraf was, the most development happened in their tenure. The second most development happen in Naimatullah era of Jamaat Islami govt. Zero development currently. It is the job of federal to look into the concerns very seriously. They can't keep their eyes shut and blame past govt or provincial govt.

During musharaf era, City govt ky pass direct paisa ata tha from federal govt but this got fundamentally changed under 18 ammendment in 2012. PPP forwarded this law which has proved as a game changer for them for controlling financing of the city despite of having just 1 or 2 seats in Karachi. This is also precisely why, PTI doesn't like18 ammendment rule and at times threaten to dissolve ppp sindh govt and put Sindh directly under governor rule. If they do that, than all the authority comes to pti though courts will not let it happened.

To cut long shit short, federal govt of PTI cannot do much about it in Karachi because of 18 ammendment rule. Each and every administrative power of the city directly controlled by the Sindh govt. Even city govt has limited sovereign administrative powers which also has to be sanctioned by provincial govt first especially when finance is required.

So people, educate yourself regarding the law and administrative control of the city first than blame current govt for the mess.

This should serve as a lesson for people. Uncontrolled population growth is not good. A city should not go beyond 1 crore people. People should also change their dirty habits.

Yes tell that to Chinese in Shanghai and Japanese in Tokyo who live in comparable or bigger cities yet manage much much better. Having clean streets, working hospitals, delivering schools and pristine places of worship so hard? It is state of mind of every single responsible person who chooses to leave everything for the next guy or next day and not finish the job or do it right ... can people in Pakistan be raised to finish their work without compromising it? It is a question yoi should ask yourself and not from others because each person at the end of the day is cheating himself first and everyone else after that...
Once you know that environment is shared with the rest of humanity... a person compromising his soul may relent... scapegoating is not the answer... by your logic small towns wouldn't have similar situations but they are in fact mini Karachi's.

I will agree that I was not educated in this. But I will disagree that PTI govt cannot do anything.

My question to you is is 18 amendment or whatever law granted the rights to provincial govt, is provincial law or federal law? If it s federal law, why don't PTI bring it in Parliament to change it?

PTI will wait for local body elections next year before making the move. One thing is clear, pti will not make any kind of alliance or understanding with ppp. Karachi 50% of the problems will be vanished if power is taken from ppp Sindh.
