PLA Self-powered thermal insulation cabins at Ladakh border

Looks like china has no experience and is deploying troops for the first time on high altitude himalays. That is the reason for photo ops/video recording for everything.
Not expecting more from a country still prasied its airforce when they shoot down it's own heli, I mean what kind of thing is running in your head to come to this conclusion. :cheesy:

It’s to do with low moral of its conscript army. They only serving experience is around 3 years so to keep them from abandoning ccp needs to provide them 5 star treatment. Now guage their will to fight when things go haywire.

Almost 1000 Indian soldiers died of exposure or accidents in Siachen ... and you guys still have the balls to call yourselves the world's foremost mountain soldiers? :D :D :D

Approx 880 Indian soldiers have died in Siachen due non combat fatalities in last 37 years. Majority due to avlanches and cervices.

A total of 167 soldiers have died in last one decade.

Pakistan army .. which is not on Siachen and does not disclose its casualties.. lost 129 soldiers in a single day.

It is Indian army.... they brave the worst possible climatic conditions know to any army in the world and remain on their posts, no matter what.

If we too had a single child prince army like yours, they too would have to be catered with saunas, sun baths and heated rooms. Too afraid to step out in the cold.

But let me assure you, if your soldiers ever step out of their heated hotel rooms to man their posts ..they will die (too bad you will never get to know).

It is your first winter in Himalayas .. enjoy.

Sometimes suffering doesn't have any meaning. Sometimes you just suffer for nothing.

For Chinese, our soldiers are humans first, soldiers second, so they are treated like humans.

There is an age old saying in armies all around the world. Armies who do not sweat in peace..bleed in war.

You can give them all the comforts..you want. I say build them a 5 star hotel, with 7 course meals and heated toilet seats, but then do you expect your army to leave the comforts of their soft beds and heated saunas, to go out and man their posts in negative 40 degrees temperatures outside ?

If a war ever breaks out, your army will be in for a rude shock, when they don't have the physical and mental endurance to fight out in the cold, harsh environment.

Nice photo ops as always.
Its a comfortable setup for PLA's amateur soldiers to play their video games to cope up with the cruel fate Xi Jinping's uncontrolled ambitions has brought upon them.

The best scenario is for the war to be solved through airpower, ballistic missiles and artillery such that the enemy never even sees your soldiers before they are cut off, surrounded, have no food or ammo, and are forced to surrender.

US soldiers play Xbox on their bases after all.

an Indian telling story about hardship to an army that fought in Korea against the best equiped Yankees under worst condition that you guys can never imagined, also the same army that captured more than 4000 Indian (supposed battle hardened surrender with smiles on their face),include the one brigade commander and shot dead the other one.

You fought Korean war 7 decades back and lost more than four hundred thousand soldiers in the process.

It has been more than 4 decades, since your army fought any war, unless you count running your tanks over your own civilians.

Indian army lost 1962 war.. because they were not acclimatised and trained to fight a war in Himalayas. They were in comforts of their barracks, when they were suddenly called up on to fight on the harshest battlefield in the world.

Since then Indian army has made it a point, to continuously deploy and train on the harshest battlefields in the world.

We lost 180,000 during the war which 110,000 KIA, 300,000+ wounded, but anyway, you lot losed more than 8k (killed+surrender) to this army and mostly border guard just ten years later, I just can't imagined what would happen if it was Indian that fought in Korea against Yankees.

According to you, they lose because they weren't ready, ok, that was supposed to be our fault? Nerhu proceed with his Forward policy without knowing if the army was ready or not, they were pretty confident back then though, and nothing has changed it seems.

Firstly, you do not enjoy that kind of technological edge over India, whatever you have ..we have too.

Nature has a way negating the technology advantage .. especially in the mountains.

In 2001 US army carpet bombed Tora Bora mountains with huge Daisy cutters..in an attempt to kill OBL and his core group 500 Al Qaeda fighters.

They did not want to put boots on the ground, as they were afraid of talking too many casualties. Because of this OBL and most of his fighters escaped Tora Bora and into Pakistan and were not found for next 10 years.
