Pinaka's are for the medium range operations, and for long range ops, we operate 60+ systems of the Russian Smerch MBRLs which are also guided, which falls in the same catagory as A-100 and are locally made too.
Also for short range we operate the BM 21 Grads too.

That plan was put on back burner years ago after DRDO claim they can increase the Pinaka rocket range from 40 to 80 and then comeup with 120 km range rocket. Nothing on it yet.

So there is possibility that we go for 120km Smerch from Russia in near future. But it's just a guess nothing official

Why Russia doesn't even have a 120km version of Smerch when China has even a 150km version???

150km version is not mrbl in that case russia has 500km . 120km mrbls are smerch with upgrade and a100.
