Chinese can build the entire city in 6 months. It has been 15 years and you can see the progress on Gwadar.

Chinese will do what's in their interest .you cant expect Chinese to spend billion to set up a new city in another country. How will it serve them ? PMl(N) has not been ruling for 15 years .

If everything goes as planned Gwadar will have an exploding population. This will help ease the strain on cities like Karachi and Lahore. It remids me of dubai in the 90's.

Gwadar looks like Dubai of 80s 90s . same geography , sea and desert area . Gawadar surely has potential to become another Dubai ( if things go by plans).

It's like an oasis rising from the desert heralding a new dawn in the chapter of Baluchistan and Pakistan. Really heart warming to see the progress, I am normally against quotas because they destroy the system of merit, but I would strongly suggest that the local people of Gwadar in particular and Balochistan in general, should be given precedence for jobs etc.

Sustainable development and prosperity requires a strong input from the locals of a given area. Hope the powers that be realise this.
