Kashmiris with Pakistani flags.
Kashmiris head to the "Martyrs Graveyard" in Srinagar in Indian-administered Kashmir amid a strike called to remember the deaths of two key separatist figures.
Wise up, that is not necessarily the "Pakistani Flag".
That is the Islamic flag/banner that many Kashmiris commonly wave, which by the way happens to resemble the "Pakistani flag" due to the crescent moon and green coloring, but notice there is no white vertical strip at the left of the flag, which would indicate it to be an official and completely distinct Pakistani flag.
You can see similar Islamic flags/banners being held below by Kashmiris. These are the same Islamic banners, some may have small variations.
This happens to be the exact same flag seen in your photo.
Kashmiri children wrapped in a flag symbolizing Islam, shout anti-India slogans at a martyr's graveyard in Srinagar, India, Sunday, July 13, 2008. Police fired live ammunition in the air and used tear gas to disperse thousands of protesters who attacked pro-Indian political activists during a memorial ceremony Sunday in the main city of Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said.

Now here is a Kashmiri Muslim holding the Pakistani Flag.
Same here, Kashmiri holding Pak flag in protest...
Now what does this tell us, if the Kashmiris want to hold a Pakistani flag, the flag always contains a vertical white strip at the left side of the green and crescent moon & star. If they simply choose to wave a flag symbolizing Islam or Islamic Kashmir they will hold a solid green flag with Crescent moon & star, sometimes containing Islamic slogans...
Understand without that vertical left white strip, you cannot officially consider the flags in the picture you displayed "Pakistani flag". The importance of that vertical white strip makes any other green solid flag with a Crescent moon & star a uniquely "Pakistani Flag" without it, it can be a flag symbolizing Islam. I'm more than sure the Kashmiris know the difference.
I'm not in anyway implying Kashmiris don't wave the Pakistani flag, they do, but many times they just wave a flag symbolizing Islam or an Islamic Kashmir.
The early Pakistan flag was without a white strip

Another rant for nothing. The Pakistani flag in most parts of Kashmir is a 'Banned' item and that's exactly why at times you'd see cheaply made Pakistani flags where people would just put a crescent and a star on a green sheet.
There are a couple of examples where a cheaply made Pakistani flag was hoisted in Kashmir and India to piss off the Indian government. Simply because a Pakistani flag isn't something to come by easily in those strict regions.
Islamic flag/banner isn't green with a crescent and star on it. It's a Black flag with a Kalmah written on it. The one's hizbu-tehrir uses. Why don't you wise up and do your research?
The Internationally recognized flag of Islam.
Bezerk is right. The green flag for sure represents Pakistan..and the will of Kashmiris to be a part of Pakistan. The kalma written on it proclaims their identity as they're Muslims and want to be associated with a country which was made in the name of Islam.I even know some Kashmiris who corroborate this fact.
