During the month of April 2016, the LCA Naval Prototypes (both NP-1 and NP-2) contributed significantly towards the carrier compatibility flight testing process.
Both the prototypes took off the Ramp commencing the take-off roll from the Restraining Gear System (RGS). The combined effort from all the personnel from Indian Navy, NFTC, ADA, HAL, NAL, ADE, Certifying agencies (CEMILAC and DGAQA), Goa Shipyard Limited (Responsible for maintaining the Shore Based Test Facility) resulted in a fruitful progress towards carrier operations over a period of three weeks.
