Better to just shut down this airline, fire all employees and restart from scratch. Make a new airline.... Air Pakistan and give it to the private sector with government getting a cut of the profit. PIA is hopeless

BS media with BS talks

here is real incident report from aviherald

A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLV performing flight PK-8726 from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) to Multan (Pakistan), was enroute at FL350 when unusual noises developed on board which were identified to come from one of the aircraft's main doors. The flight crew decided to divert to Karachi (Pakistan), where the aircraft landed safely about 2:40 hours after departure.

The passengers, part of them were terrified and considering to travel to Multan by road, were rebooked onto another flight.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service after 23 hours on the ground in Karachi.

The plane took off from Riyadh for Multan but had to make emergency landing in Karachi due to a door malfunction.
You don't drive a car with partially open door and here we have stuntmen pilots of PIA flying all the way from Riyadh to Karachi with a door which wasn't shut properly.
Then people say, don't blame the pilot.

How can the plane take off without the doors being properly shut
What were the Stewart's and Air Hostesses upto
surely someone would have seen a door partly opened

What would have happened if the door got fully opened when the plane was over Arabian sea

@Safriz
Its highly unlikely that that was the case.

PIA currently operates 02 Types of Aircrafts on those sectors.

B777
a320 (same type that crashed recently).

Unlike the old technology that is on B737's - the B777 & the a320 has sensor that informs the Crew that the Door is Armed (Slide).

Door Closing sensor is also on the B737's.

It is possible that the Strap may of been left outside while the door was closed. Now if that is the case, the Pilot can't tell as he can only see the door is closed and Armed. In this situation its the Cabin Crew's fault & that of the Ground Staff that clear the Aircraft for Pushback/Departure.

The Door Strap may not be a big deal, but could lead to Slow Decompression - which may result in Oxygen Masks being deployed from the PSU (Passenger Service Unit).

It is virtually impossible for an Aircraft to depart with even a partially open door as its a pressurized cabin. If there is a door even partially open - the cabin can't be pressurized.

the guy who published this news is BS nothing more . door must be closed then armed and pins removed before flight . if you close the door and its still unarmed it still show warning sign in cockpit . our media left no chance to bash PIA .

The pilot of pk8303 which crashed in Karachi also ignored warnings by the plane and got himself and others killed.
So ignoring warnings is nothing new for pia pilots

Sarkari nokri and sarkari maal.
Why care?

Likewise Pia has only 31 aircrafts and only flies to 65 destinations.
Emirates has 200+ planes and 200+ destinations and literally no crashes.
It has to do with bogus illiterate crew.
Btw government report says 845 Pia employees have been found to have fake degrees and fake licences.

emrates have two fatals you may don't know sir. most safest airlines are quntas and newzeeland air lines .emrates in term of safety is 6 numbers less i think .
this is our education and ratta system every department have to hire from here . should we change country ?
yes gov find dozens of fake degree holders specially those whom promoted on job have submitted most fake degrees not pilots sir . but one of the pilot was found matrik pass and he was senior pilot some 30 + years on airline :D but then he say when i joined pia matrick was also big degree . he was terminated :P

Situation on all sort of passenger transport in Pakistan is same, even if it involves buses or railway.
Life has no value in so called Islamic republic.
This country is in auto pilot mode and public is running around like headless chicken.
