+ how com only one of the C-130s has its a2a refuelling probe fitted? They were taken off for transport to India but why haven't all been fitted back on??

Not to mention that the EO pod is missing on all of them!

I noticed this for a second, then thought about it. FLIR os mainly for night missions so the pilots can use the IR to navigate low level at night. During day with good visibility there is little need to have it fitted with drag penalties and potential for damage to very expensive kit.

No buddy, once you have it, it will remain integrated the whole time, because it is too difficult to fit and unfit it all the time, not to mention that the aircraft could not be used in quick reaction situations, since the pod would needs to be fitted again and since the prime aim is to quickly transport special forces, such a capability must be available at any time, whenever it is needed, same goes for the refuelling pods.

May be they check the air-plane in full configuration and then remove it if not ordered. In case later operator want to purchase them as add on.

There is a refuelling probe in the first picture... but EO pod is a must... which we are denied
