There's a difference between a 'civil war' and a 'riot.'
Full-scale civil wars don't get crushed within days. The 'sportsman' simply doesn't have the guts nor the support to pull off something on such a large scale.
His muppets were no match for our paramilitary riot police, let alone the army with some serious military hardware! Within a week, half of these characters are behind bars while others are in hiding and now... not a beep.
Say what you will about our army but they sure know how to diffuse a political fallout ASAP, heh!
I sure hope so but its early days yet, the next round of riots might see some zealot wardi wala open fire and... that was the genesis of the Syrian conflict iinw. It'd be a horrible eventuality but the ingredients are in place. Any incident caused by a hothead(s) on either side to set the thing ablaze.
Say some pushtoon rally goers/rioters whatever were to be the the victim of any such.. then in might come their Afghan brothers (foreign fighters). They do refer to Mr IK as Taliban Khan, don't they ?
Then there's also the small matter of all sorts of other nasties who may, for one reason or another, jump in the fight to fwd their own nefarious goals.
Finally, there's us lot, The Gangus.. Your faujis try pull a stunt with us to deflect all of y'all's ire toward us and then you be in some srs trouble.
Worst-case scenario hypothesis of course, still a ways to go before we (god forbid) ever get there, still time to salvage the situation. India have been completely 'hands off' so far, just watching, and will only jump in if our hand is forced.
I'm a bit of a peacenik, this shite is scary.. its much more than just Pk. internal strife, we are neighbours, these are our homelands. No to war or any sort of unrest anywhere near here. We should be like Europe, who learnt their lesson after the last great war.
Trade and do business, get along, not this bs.
