PFI members arrested in Telangana for radicalizing and giving weapons training to Muslim youth, police complicity alleged
Police in Telangana’s Nizamabad town have arrested three alleged members of Popular Front of India (PFI) for allegedly training youth to create religious animosity.
Police booked Shaik Sadullah, 40, Mohammed Imran, 22, and Mohammed Abdul Mobin, 27, for allegedly training gullible youth in use of lethal weapons to target people from other communities.
Police also claimed to have seized ‘nunchuks’ (karate sticks), knives and literature with content to instigate religious animosity was seized from the PFI members, who are all residents of the town.
Following this, the police investigated further. And THIS turned up.
3 PFI activists, including ex-cop, arrested in Patna
Bihar Police has claimed to have busted a “potential terror module indulging in anti-India activities” by arresting three people, including a retired Jharkhand police officer, with alleged links to extremist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI).
Two of the arrests were made in Phulwari Sharif area of Patna late Wednesday. “The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Jallauddin, a retired Jharkhand police officer, Athar Parvez. They have links with PFI. Jallauddin was earlier associated with Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI),” Phulwari Sharif assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Manish Kumar said.
“They were teaching locals how to use swords and knives and also instigating them for communal violence. An investigation has revealed that people from other states were visiting them in Patna. Those visitors used to change their names while staying in hotels in the Bihar capital to conceal their identities,” he said.
Several objectionable documents pertaining to Islamic extremism have been seized from their possession, the ASP said.
The third person, arrested on Thursday, has been identified as Armaan Malik.
Parvez’s younger brother had been jailed in 2001-02 in connection with several bomb blast cases in Bihar after SIMI was banned,
“During the investigation, it was found that Parvez was in constant touch with members of several overseas organisations and was raising foreign funds to carry out anti-India activities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also been engaged by the police for further probe pertaining to their money trail,” he added.
According to the FIR, registered on the basis of the statement of Phulwari Sharif police station house officer (SHO) Ekrar Ahmad, he got a tip-off that some suspects had gathered in the area to create mischief ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in Patna on July 12 and had got training in swords and knives in the premises of Ahmad Palace in the area. “Later, police team raided the house and recovered incriminating documents, including a seven-page document titled ‘India 2047’ and arrested Jalaluddin and Parvez,” the FIR says.
The arrested PFI members are also associated with Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and All India Imam Council, police said.

Police said one of the seized documents was titled: “India 2047: Towards rule of Islamic India, Internal documents, Not for Circulation.”
The PFI document also enumerated plans to recruit “loyal Muslims” into government departments, including executive and judicial positions as well as the police and the Army, police said.
According to the document, PFI also plans to “create a split between RSS and SCs/STs/OBCs” by projecting the organisation as an outfit interested only in the welfare of “upper caste Hindus,” police said.

Times Now has accessed details of the 'Islamist plot' that was planned against 'PM Modi's Patna visit'. They had planned to sabotage the Prime Minister's visit to Patna. The terror module was busted after officials from (Intelligence Bureau) got the inputs - while they were there ahead of PM's visit to the state - shared with the Bihar Police.
Jallauddin is suspected to have provided training of weapons and martial arts to fresh recruits at his Patna residence. Patna SSP Manish Kumar said that in the name of martial arts, locals were taught to use swords and knives. He said the accused instigated others toward religious violence and that the police have CCTV footage as well as witness accounts. "Parvez also raised funds in lakhs, the ED is being involved for the same," he said.
For the past two months, the SSP further said, the accused had people from other states coming in. Those coming were changing their names while booking tickets and while staying in hotels. Parvez's younger brother went to jail in 2001-02 bomb blasts in state after SIMI was banned.
The accused had also prepared an eight-page document: 'India Vision 2047-Towards rule of Islam in India'. This was an internal document, not for circulation. An excerpt from the document states that the PFI is confident that even if 10 per cent of total Muslim population rally behind it, the organisation would subjugate 'coward majority community and bring back the glory'.
Speaking to ANI, the Patna SSP said the police keep an eye on organisations like PFI during routine work. He said the police were on alert as the Prime Minister was coming. "We got information on this and started probing closely. FIR filed against 26 people, of which 3 arrested. No direct threat regarding PM," he was quoted as saying.
The PFI, however, refuted all allegations saying the arrested persons were not associated with the organisation. "We reject all the claims by the Bihar Police. Two people who are arrested are not members of the PFI," said Anis Ahmed of PFI.
