it is shocking to hear the finance minister say that the price of petrol in Pakistan is cheaper than almost every country in the world. I mean he totally fails to take into account the average income in Pakistan and the currency value. Even an o level student who studies economics would know better. The countries with which he is comparing the fuel prices with have much higher average incomes not to mention their currency has a higher value. Wow what logic
It just shows how hopeless the economic condition is and that the government has no idea on how to control the situation.

Luxurious import need to be completely banned even if the buyer can afford to pay 1000 % of the original price of the product.

The buyer can afford to buy such expensive items but Pakistan can't afford to allow import of such luxuries.

India was bankrupt in 1990. IMF saved them and their govts did successive reforms to put country's economy on track. Meanwhile Pakistan went to IMF 22 times without a single time putting economy on right track. Who is responsible? All 22 govts including this one.

India had to airlift gold stock from the country to IMF to secure a loan at that time. There is a funny story that the van driving the gold to airport broke down causing panic

Government must answer for her austerity measures and how it is being run on day to day basis without policy. Individual politicians have individual laws.

Government not only increased salaries of her own officials but also allowed for luxury imports in an attempt to restart the economy.

Unless it holds her predecessor accountable, she will be held accountable for cumulative crime.

IMF freely dictates policy after all agreements with them were declared national security issue.

Only one who is happy at current affairs in the country are cultists like those from Rabwa who are promised destruction of Pakistan as some prophecy by their Messiah.
