Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday passed a stay order preventing the government from deporting Pak-Turk school officials.

A two-member bench of the PHC comprising Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Ikramullah heard a writ petition filed by students and parents of Pak-Turk schools.

The petitioners maintained that the federal government had ordered the expulsion of teachers due to a political issue which the teachers had no connection with.

The writ petition mentioned that there were 26 Pak-Turk school campuses across the country, in which around 11,000 students were enrolled.

The PHC issued a stay order on the federal government's earlier order of expulsion of staffers and issued a notice to the federal government to clarify its stance on the issue.

The government issued an order to the Turkish staff of its schools to leave the country ahead of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visit to Pakistan earlier this month.

The Turkish government believes that the Pak-Turk schools are part of a network operated by Fethullah Gulen, a political rival of President Erdogan, and has reportedly called upon Pakistan to close them down.

Turkey declared Gulen’s organisation a terrorist entity after the July 15 failed coup attempt in the country.

The next hearing at PHC will be held on December 1.

Don't worry brother government will challenge it brother, they would be deported , Pak-Turk bilateral relations are of supreme interests, these courts have released hardcore known terrorists in the past, thus we had to establish military courts to get justice and hang those douchebags. FETO staff will be deported, that is 110% confirmed, once they get cleared from Turkish courts, they can come back in Pakistan. Simultaneously Turkish govt should send members of the new school administration ASAP to take over the schools to placate the fears of parents !!!

Yes, I will. But, I also need to clarify where all these "interests" come from. I think it's instilled in the mindsets of the Turkish folks since their childhood. Let me cite an example. Rahmetli Turgut Ozal in one of his interviews while being president asked the journalist to publish it long after his death, which occurred shortly after the interview due to poisoning. The president wanted to put some historical facts straight and made some predictions. There he specifically mentioned the humungous spiritual and material support provided by the Muslims from the sub-continent. I think you've got the clues. The pilot of his presidential plane was a Pak folk...

Absolutely brother, since British had occupied our lands in subcontinent, muslims here looked towards Ottoman Empire as the representative of their interests, there was a clear spiritual connection. When ordered to fight Ottomans, thousands refused and were hanged for that. Many left on horseback to fight for Ottomans and later in Turkish war of independence, as President Erdogan mentioned Abdur Rehman Peshwari, who went to Turkey in a simmilar way and later became ambassador of Turkey to Afghanistan in 1921. These bonds are strong and unbreakable. It will be strengthened with time. Gulf and Indian Ocean was a natural sphere of influence of Ottomans, there was a time , I believe during Sulaiman the Magnificent's reign, when Ottoman fleets from Yemen attacked Portuguese Goa in India in Indian Ocean, today by investing in CPEC and having a presence in Gwadar, buttressed by Turkish base in Qatar, Turkey can once again achieve some of its influence back in Arabian sea and Indian Ocean region. There are many aspects and dimensions of this relationship we can work on.

I just want to let my fellow Turk members and brothers know, that on this forum a specific effort is being put through some fake false flag profiles ( I have identified 3 of those), that bash Pakistan Army on Pakistani political threads and on Pak-Turk or Pak-Chinese threads, they specifically bash Turkey and China. My request is for you to remain assured no Pakistani will behave in this manner, if you see these posts, you should know where they are coming from, they aren't from Pakistanis, there should be no doubt about that in the minds of our brothers, just wanted to clarify it.

When Nawaz Sharif ordered their deportation, they thought Nawaz Sharif is taking action against Turks or Turkey, they don't even know who Fateullah Gullen is , once the new Turk staff comes, their fears will reduce that schools aren't being closed and this action isn't against Turks, it is actually against those people which threaten Turkey as a state.

OK change of management of school is understandable, but i am sure the teachers who had nothing to do with what happened in Turkey are scared, hell you & me would be scared if we are in the same situation... cant really blame the staff here... i hope they reach a compromise ....
