as for true follower of islam, a simple measure is what kind of "muslims" become foot-soldiers of the western governments when they wish to invade strong and socialist muslim nations ( iraq, libya, syria, afghanistan etc ) or create havoc in them?? if taliban/ikhwaan/qaeda etc are true muslim, then has their creator, the usa government, become muslim?? since when??

The problem is, the 'measure' you're talking about is your 'measure', the people who you're against, have their own 'unit of measurement'.......who is going to decide whose measurement is correct??

As for serving Western powers, they can make the same argument, Saddam was West's 'puppet' until he 'defected', so was Qaddafi, so was Qaeda and so on.......those kurds and Shias oppressed under Saddam's rule can say that he was oppressing them with the help of the 'West'....and they sided with the same 'West' to topple Saddam......
The situation has become like, every sect/group trying to establish their 'hukumat' over the other(the apparent reason is to establish 'true' Islamic rule), they're unable to do so by themselves, they seek Western help and the opportunistic 'West' obliges all the sides/groups as and when it suits them......
