Friends,

I came across Periperi sauce from Pak:

.
Plenty of them abound - it all started with Nandos and then went to local brands.

.
Made in Pakistan? That's interesting to see, especially as it doesn't have a Pakistani sounding name.

Yes, Nandos gave periperi sauces from our part of the world to the all the world.

I was surprised to see this - one Pak friend mentioned it a few weeks back - he then sent me a link.

Not sure as we dont get it here on taste; if someone can comment.

Personally, i brew my own - it is very easy and far more flavourful. Anyone want peri-peri chicken receipe - do let me know I will post here; i perfected the best receipe locally here; i use it at times outside my bakery.

God bless South Africa/Portugal for nandos. uk loved it so much we operate the most stores in a single country (I think so).
yes :) .... we have enlightened the europeans :).

btw - periperi is ubiquitos to Poras from Moz/Angola. Most mainlander Portugese - it is just a very basic sauce.

Let me know - will post my present receipe. The periperi chicken receipe- we are using it also at my friend's restaurant as well right on the highway. it beats Nandos peri-peri hands down.

I love nandos too. Great food, better than Mcdonals, KFC junkfood.

You got it; it will be posted in next few hours; will write it down. The reciepe came from my Pora friend's 80yr old mama - she gave it to me over 30 yrs back and i still adhere to it; golden.

Dont worry if you dont have peri-peri pods; thai red chilli will work as well.

This is company is older than Pakistan. It all began at a golf course at St. Andrews. At the ninth green, Francis J. Mitchell received a telegram informing him he had lost all his money. Already 60 years old at the time, with three children to provide for, he decided to seek his fortune in India. This he found, though not without trials and tribulations, in a 720 acre plot of land near Renala Khurd, District Okara, which he leased from the Punjab government. This would become the first ever Mitchell’s fruit farm. Mr. Mitchell and his sons, Leonard and Richard, originally tried their luck with vine fruits, but switched to growing citrus fruits when the former proved unworkable. Luckily, citrus fruits were a success, and the lease was extended in 1930, allowing the company-Indian Mildura Fruit Farms Limited- to be registered in 1933.

After independence, in1948, the company’s name was changed from Indian Mildura Fruit Farms to Mitchell’s Fruit Farms Ltd and the brand name “MITCHELL’S” became the exclusive property of the Pakistani company. In 1958 , majority shares in Mitchell’s Fruit Farms Ltd. were bought by members of Syed Maratib Ali’s family, who have maintained their interest ever since.

Try to make a Naga based chilli sauce with all the herbs and condiment , beats anything on the market
Let me up this .... you got me psyced'. I started to grow Bhoot jalokia here. man, insane.

Now - Let me tell you what i am doing.

1. I have developed it as a spray using a mild veggie oil. Do not laugh, it is used to spray around the honey bee areas plus chicken coops; it keeps Ratel away. I have also given it away to a friend's wife's hair dresser and bottle store for rowdy customers.

2. Fermenting the mash. Not for alcohol but it matures in 2 months to give a beautiful sauce.
I hope I can find the ingredients here is Aus to try it.
You have it. I have several friends in Auz; and NZ. no issues.
