I dont have issue its women who are being silenced due to filthy language on non political videos i am angry about


More people have TV in their homes than internet consumption wont vanish but will decrease just like it did in Islamabad and Rawalpindi after Indian content was banned now it will be a nation wide ban

A few months ago i and many others were against such a harsh action i was for higher taxation only but now even folks like me are supporting it

the general bar for comments on youtube is low

classic content never sells bcos most of the ppl want crass entertainment. most of the good stuff content is supported by ads displayed for the crap content. As such most of the media houses produce both good & crap, crap makes more money and helps good content stay afloat.

Obviously there needs to be some "balanced mix" of classic and new (i.e. commercially viable content)...and as far as the crass entertainment goes (I think) given the "choice" the masses will choose a better alternative available which depicts their culture and values in true sense.

It's also about stopping illegal earnings of India.

Indian companies don't make any money from your illegal telecasts of their shows. Only recently one Indian company tied up with Geo.

Grow up, Indian shows on Pakistani channels were all paid to concerned. That is why same episodes of TV shows got on air on Pakistani & Indian Channels at same time.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Election Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) continues its crackdown against illegal Indian Direct To Home (DTH) devices and cable operators telecasting Indian content in the country, ARY News reported Sunday.

According to details, Pemra and customs officials raided several markets in Islamabad and seized DTH, receivers and C-Lines. 4,131 illegal Indian DTHs, Low-noise block downconverters (LNBs) and C-Line receivers during the crackdowns.

Pemra spokesman said that the media regulatory authority is also taking action against 1762 cable operators and seized their equipment.

Meanwhile, regional teams of the media regulatory authority also carried out raids Sialkot, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat.

Pemra has placed a blanket ban on airing Indian content on television or radio.

The bilateral ties between Pakistan and India have deteriorated after Pakistan raised the issue of Indian atrocities in Kashmir and martyrdom of separatist leader Burhan Wani, at United Nations while India accusing Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism.

The neighboring country had claimed on September 29 that its forces had carried out a surgical strike within Pakistani territory.

Indian film producers association have banned Pakistani actors and technicians, while already completed film starring Pakistani actors, are facing hurdles in release.
