PDF meet up at Farnborogh air show

F-22 Raptor wont Participate in any International Airshows this year,including Farnborough.
Bad news for me,i wanted to see it.

Ok,i contacted PAF today..their Public relations wing as it is called (I think) and the person on the phone asked me to call back on Monday so that he can give me a definite answer on whether PAF will participate in Farnborough or not..

Another British Airshow RIAT which happens to be one of the world's largest Military aircraft show has also invited PAF to their show but hasn't received nay answer yet.

Chinese are rumoured to attend RIAT this year..
their August-1 acrobatic team with j-10s is rumoured to perform at RIAT..but RIAT admin hasnt received any official acceptance or refusal if their invitation to PLAAF.

Good news for Saudi members..
Saudi hawks the Royal Saudi Airfkrces acrobatics team will be flying on 7th July At RIAT air show UK.
This iz the second time they will be flhing at the air tatoo.

i think its 150,000 dollars entry fees and Petrol kaa kharchaa...Not much.

Well, Indians have the same choice between affordability or not; heck, every nation has the same choice over any decision's affordability, so I don't see your point at all, may be because there is none.

would have been nice to see PAF participate again, but a penny saved is a penny earned. They are not floating in cash. We wish they were, but they arent. They have to be smart, we have to be patient

Flying displays havent been performed by PAF in any European Air show...
Obtaining a slot for Flying Display is hard at Farnborough due to purely Trade theme of the show..Too many manufacturers wanting to show off their Plane....May be that's why they didn't fly in their5 last visit.
But RIAT is a perfect venue for Flying display....They will let anybody come and fly their plane.....And the show is attended by all major and many minor Air forces of the world..Would have been excellent exposure for PAF...

Advice to any PDFers planning on visiting Farnborough this year. Carry a FM radio with you. Information about the flying display is available on a FM channel. The public announcement systems are rubbish and cannot be heard over the roars of the engines.
