PDF meet up at Farnborogh air show

. .
At the Farborough website it says there will be 2 static JF-17s

Interesting no Rafale either :P

This list is from 2010..The 2012 list will be posted on their website in May...However the exhibitors were required to return the bookings by end of February..unless they had valid reason to delay..
PAF may already have disclosed their plans to Farnborough and so must have most other exhibitors.

If the thunder can perform in the UK, why not the U.S? I would love to see thunder live :pakistan:

It might be easier to go see it in Pakistan, perhaps on September 6.

Ok this may be well before time but another request...

There will be Hundreds of Pictures and hours of Video footage recorded at the Exhibition..
If JF-17 flies..every second of the Flight will be recorded in Full HD ..

I will request members with Good Movie editing and Photoshop skills to come forward and leave their names on this thread so that we can forward them our camera work from the exhibition..They can get creative and post their own edited version of the footage/Pictures on This forum via video/picture hosting websites...And watermark PDF logo.

Last time I took hundreds of pictures of this exhibition and the whole data was above 4-5 GB. Donated full album (in higher resolution) to one of the International defence forums (not PDF) who uploaded the full album on it's photo gallery site. I did share most of those pics on PDF also and the links to that Full album in private messages. Those were the days when I bought my first camera and this time it's a DSLR camera with bunch of lenses in my gear. So expect 1000 pics from me alone :D

If only JF-17 is participating once again and I went there as planned

Yes the pictures and videos will get piled up...Multiple DSLRs will be there..including mine..So we will need help in managing and up;loading the camera work.

We need a new thread on what gear will you guys be taking.

I use the Canon system.
I will be using the same lens as last time. ie. 70-200 f4 L. This lens is fantastic and shooting planes in the day is fine with it. 10-22 lens for close range shooting on the day of the airshow.
Last time I had the 350D. This has now been replaced by the 7D. HD video and a faster burst mode shooting. I have spot metering too this time though not sure how useful it will be shooting planes against the sky. I suspect it will not be all that useful.
Also this time I have a polarisor.

Sorry.. but cameras interest me a lot more than planes ;)
