so anyone who dont support the Bakhtology is anti-nationalist according to the Indian neo NazisNot really just 1-2 anti nationalists like @padamchen who need to be brought back to reality.
I dont see Pakistan ceasing to exist so
With all due respect, it cannot possibly be an Arabic term. There is no "p" or "پ" letter/sound in Arabic. This is, in fact, a Persian term since both words are Persian. And I don't see Arabs being able to even pronounce it properly. They will say "Atish barast". Furthermore, if you know about the historical rivalry between the Arabs and Persians, Arabs will never use a Persian term rather they have ample selection of Arabic terms at their disposal.Bro atash parast is a derogatory term used by Arabs for the then still stubbornly Zoroastrian Persians. Which is used till today in a derogatory manner for those they could not conquer spiritually.
Cheers, Doc

Conditions between Pakistan and India will improve eventually because they at the lowest since a long time...So with regime change in India and Pakistan. Relations will become better slowly. If the conditions improve in Pakistan
Yes you are right.
It is a derogatory term used by Arabified Persian converts for their people who defiantly refused to.
A lot of Atash Gahs in Iran were actually defiled, desecrated and destroyed by Muslim Persian converts. More Arab than the Arabs.
That is the reality.

What does it mean? Sorry for my poor knowledge about the Parsis.Afarganyus

That's an unfortunate part of the history. BTW, just out of curiosity, what do the Parsis believe in?... Are they Christian? or they have some of their own religion.

Okay thanks. It is totally new info for me. So what I'm getting is that fire has some religious importance for Parsis. Am I right? Now do they worship fire or it is some kind of symbolism ?Afarganyus are the huge silver fire vases in which the holy Atash (fire) is housed. On a silver tray. With precisely placed sandalwood logs. Within the central sanctum sanctorum of the Agiyari or Atash Behram / Gah.
We are not Christians.
We are Zoroastrians. Or Zarthustis. The religion is called Zoroastrianism. The ancient faith of Persia. Or E'ran. Now Iran.

Oh this perhaps clears a few things for me.
I had a an Irani girl classmate during my MS in Propulsion and we had an elective subject called "Theory of Combustion" and she declined to take the course and I was really surprised since she was good at studies. Does it has to do something with the religion? I never had a religious discussion with her but she was very westernised, a very untypical of Irani people living in Iran.

Thanks..threads normally don't help especially when I see so much pink color on the right side of the page . I was just a little curious to know about Parsis. I'll read about it when I get timeThere is a thread here on Parsis and Zoroastrianism. It should hopefully answer all your questions. Search for India's vanishing Parsis.

Are parsis pure persians or have they mixed with the surrounding people?
Makes sense..The pink on the right side of the page is politics of forums over time.
Nothing to do with the knowledge within.
