OK, I asked this because you call yourselves "Parsi" which literally means "Persian" in Persian language.

Interestinly, Parsis in India are responsible for most of the her 'proud' achievements.

1. Iron and Steel : Tatas
2. IT industry : Tatas -- TCS the grand-daddy of all of software consultancy
3. Salt (LOL) : Tatas
4. Biscuits/Agro : Parle
5. Electric/Misc. : Godrej
6. Bollywood : Nadiawala, Wadia etc
7. Automobile : Tatas, first totally Indian car is Tatas.
8. Nuclear Program : HJ Bhawa, Homi Santham and TIFR (Again Tatas).

As a community, I will not be surprised if they are contributing to around 30-40% of India's GDP. Almost all of India's Industrial base has some Parsi connection.

This is just a very small snapshot of the achievements and contributions of this community.

Remember, there is 1 Parsi for every 20,000 Indians ...

Yet they built India and Pakistan's largest commercial megapolises. Bombay and Karachi.

Birthed the Indian nuclear program.

Led independent India's most crushing military triumph and the biggest enemy surrender since the second world war.

I can go one, but it would be nice for other Indians to speak for us. Instead of some of the small dick black D'heras you see here.

Let me put it in this way. Most of Indians will trust Tatas with their limbs and lives. Literally. While very few will trust their own elected leaders with their dogs in our democracy.

Parsis are practically Askenazi Jews of India -- without any hard feelings from most Indians ofcourse.

You should not confuse "Iranic" with Iranian. Pashtuns, Balochs, Ossetians etc are Iranic (Indo-Iranian) not Iranian. And keep in mind that this term "Iranic" is coined by modern linguists. Pashtuns and Balochs are not Persians, they are distinct identities. Just like an Indic Punjabi is vastly different from Indic Bengali in looks and heights, in the same way Iranic Baloch is quite different from Iranic Ossetian in looks and physique. These "Iranic" ethnicities are put in one family because they are linguistically related, this categorization is not on the basis of common culture and bloodlines.
