Paris Air Show 2019 - Thunders in Europe

For the people saying it has a smoky engine, WS-13 is in the works (although quite uncertain if it'll make it on the Pakistani JF-17's though) and RD-93/33 engine series IS smoky -- However RD-93 engine performance wise is a good engine as many of the senior members and the insiders have previously stated...

However for the Indian critics whose entire purpose is to go about "oh look look!! a smoky engine!!" -- Ive never heard you guys criticizing the Fulcrums in such fashion (which has been the backbone of the IAF throughout from the late 80's to the early 2000's and is one of the most important fighters in the IAF today) , just look at this video of a Polish fulcrum at 2:32 --

@Emily those were quite the statements you made, just remember that PAF operates the F-16's and the JFT's have been reported to have "regularly beat" the F-16 Block 15's (the most maneuverable in the F-16 series) and the recent news with SU-27's of the PLAAF being regularly beaten by the Thunders especially in BVR engagements --

Bottom line -- just stating that a thing is "3rd generation" doesn't dictate how effective of a weapon system it has become, and just because the origin of the avionics are Chinese, doesn't make it any less potent, its just a 'feel good' effect where you can go "oh that --- its late 3rd gen and has chinese subsystems and avionics -- no biggy!" --

Damn it fumes like the auto ricksaws on street which have been running on adulterated petrol with kerosene :P
You should see the Mig-29.. that has two of those rickshaw engines.

However for the Indian critics whose entire purpose is to go about "oh look look!! a smoky engine!!" ---
What else do you expect from cheap shits?

.
some daring moves this time specially the take off , almost sent my off the edge fearing there was not enough energy to pull almost a vertical take off.
compared to previous outings in Duabi, China and Pakistan there were some more manoeuvres added to the flight display which is very welcome

Put a gun on my head and shout "underpowered" but I would never. Damn that take off, I have maintained and I reiritate its rd-93 has some more pounds under the hood. There is no way it could shoot up in like that with an 85kt thrust engine even in clean config. Secondly, SQDRN leader zeeshan (zeeshans r special often ;) ) is surely pushing it. Check the thunder turn recovery man that's beyond 9Gs right there!!

There is surely more under the hood than what we know even as we speak. By the way, congrats everyone on the first export order :) :pakistan:

A fantastic take off and a high alfa. And they say JFT is underpowered. NOT!!!! Lets see at the real display.
Araz
exactly, the first move was very scary if the plane didnt have enough energy it would have fallen like a rock

:undecided: There was some talk about R93 MA variant. Any chances this one is using the upgraded engine. The numbering on jet suggest its one of the last ones in first block.
Updated
My mistake I read the number wrong :(

That engine is still on a prototype in China and is being tested and certified. Don't worry its a genuine option on jft for PAF as well as for export. So is ws-13.

Share some more if not detrimental in anyway

we better keep the details confidential until the deal is in the final stages so that our Indian friends dont manage to sabotage it.
Industrial / trade sabotage is a very real thing and many countries indulge in it against other countries even they are overtly allies. whereas India has never ever tried to hide its hostility on any front, be it sports, trade and economy, diplomacy or military confrontation and aggression.

Have seen Mig-29 closely enough and ample times too, i guess we use better quality fuel for RD33 ;)
And we have this Pollution under Control (PUC) check certificates too :p
