Pantsir S1 in Pakistan Army ?

The irony here is that the Pantsir is supposed to down said UAVs. I think this has more to do with the poor employment/training of the Syrian regime. Remember, these guys wouldn't have beaten the civilian rebels without the help of Russia, Iran, Hezbollah, etc.
Syrian army was in good shape but suffered defections during the course of the Civil War. Syrian rebels were able to inflict heavy losses on Syrian armored forces with ATGMs. Assad regime would have failed if Russia and Iran had not come to its rescue.

Poor employment is unconvincing argument (people learn to adapt and fight effectively in any part of the world). Not the first time Russian equipment have failed to live up to its hype in the battlefield.

Sure, but there's a constant correlation between Russian equipment and it being in the hands of dodgy military forces. At some point, there may be causation.

In Syria's case, since they had lost personnel to defections, one can argue that they did not have enough people to correctly run the Pantsir S1. Ultimately, it takes a lot of time and investment to build air defence competency.

And reputation too, which the Russians/Soviets don’t have.

I think you guys should get away from Russian systems for a while... They always find someone to blame instead of themselves...
Note that the GNA destroyed an Krasuhka Electronic Warfare Vehicle too, which I think is more important than the Pantsirs
I might be wrong but as far as I know, Pantsir doesn't need an SPAAG company as it has its own guns.
Instead, I think Pakistan should invest in smart munitions

And how many TB2 were shot down? As long as the ratio is good it's worth it. No air defense is perfect just as no shield is perfect.
Yeah keep believing to the LNA trolls even though they were proven wrong for hundreds of times... The truth is they destroyed about 14-15 UAVs yet they claim to shot down about 60 or so (Turkey has about 109 UAVs and the GNA has about 20 UAVs on total). Don't forget that they are propeller driven drones and they might be as cheap as the missiles fired from the Pantsirs so they are easy to replace.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) random thought popped in my head. Wouldn't SPAAGs be better for advancing armor/mechanized divisions to counter helicopters vs Pantsir. Because helicopter often have countermeasures against oncoming missiles??

Both shots in the video target an inactive Pantsir. Where either the truck is driving and can't target the drone. The other shot it is clearly parked in a hanger and not activated. LNA probably mostly has uneducated rag tag members who don't have the prowess to operate Pantsir.

I agree, but I think the main constraint of SPAAG is the range. Ultimately, I think a SPAAG and VSHORAD basically complement one another (i.e., range + goalkeeper). Finally, Pakistan did look at the Korkut SPAAG, so it's possible the Army is planning to have both capabilities (mobile SAM + SPAAG) in the long-run.

Korkut essentially is oerlikons on tracks or am I wrong?

Looks like the destroyed systems were not all operational but destroyed in transit atop trucks carrying them. I wouldn't discount the effectiveness of the Pantsir just because of how Syrians were not able to use them.

Similarly, one could make the same argument against say Migs destroyed on the ground by the Israelis.

PA desperately needs such systems to operate imbedded within the armored corps and will not be taken out by Indian UAVs as is happening in Syria right now.

Yemen proves that the weapon system should not be the one to blame but incompetent people.
