Panama Case - Post Verdict Discussion and Updates

You are right..

They are even alloiwng multiple votes, loll....so it wont be genuine

I voted multiple times too, for Justice Khosa, lolll. i soooo want him to win

But i am almost sure tht Imran Khan will win because of PTI/IK fans

Anyways... it wont be genuine as its allowing multiple votes.. ... even if it was genuine, Justice Khosa has no chance door door tak..

Where is the voting? I will vote for Justice Khosa 1000 times.. and vote for IK 999 times..
Not as many but so would I but these surveys are a sham after all.

Yes these polls are not genuine, esp when they are allowing multiple votes but still I want to vote for Justice Khosa, and make sure he gets decent number of votes..

Yes...plzz you also vote for Justice Khosa

For sure. Let me add that I hold Honourable Justice Khosa above all even if his name was not on the list.

I voted quite a few times for HJK then read @PakSword post about voting while stating various cities and lol for the cheeky bugger, indeed @Farah Sohail kis kaam pay laga deya lol...May Allah Subhan Taala reward Honorable Justice Khosa (and his peers) for steadfastness and keep him safe, in sha Allah.

True..

Waisy i said earlier today too..tht it would have been a tough choice for me, if any JIT member was also in this list..

Phir shayad main half votes Justice Khosa ke liye karti aur half JIT member ke liye,..ke dono ko kuch na kuch votes milein...

Joint trial to create confusions: IHC
Issues detailed verdict on former PM’s plea
December 07, 2017

ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court Wednesday issued detailed verdict in a petition wherein former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was seeking framing of joint charges and joint trial in three references pending before the Accountability Court.

Earlier, in its short order on December 4, the IHC division bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani had turned down the petition moved by the former prime minister.

He was seeking framing of joint charges under section 17(d) of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999 while the court said that it is not mandatory rather a discretionary clause.

The dual bench noted in the verdict that joinder of charge will create ambiguities and confusions . To the apprehension of the petitioner that cross-examination on same prosecution witness again and again will expose defence of the petitioner; IHCdivision bench said that the petitioner could file an application in this regard before the AC seeking jointcross-examination of the prosecution witnesses those are common in the three corruption references.

The bench said that this court as court of appeal has limited jurisdiction. The bench said in the verdict: “This court while hearing a petition under article 199 of the constitution, is not sitting as a court of appeal and the scope, on the basis of which a challenge can be made, is very restricted. In this behalf, it is trite law that a petition under Article 199 of the Constitution, does not lie against an interlocutory order unless the same is patently illegal or suffers from jurisdictional defect.”

Not “every one” is against them though - there are (some) who are not pro but their line is still indirectly.....kind of, sort of.....helping Sharif’archy

Have no idea what Ghulam Hussain is referring to - my info doesn’t corroborate with what he is saying plus his timeline is way different than my estimate/info/analysis, nor his number of 98 match with mine. Although I wish and pray that he is right as 98 is way more damaging and a sure kill shot.

We will know for sure as he gave 200 hours - so about 8 days....of which 2 will be gone soon....will see soon if that is correct. I really pray it does happen his way as my info is not that rosy as his :(

Reference earlier post re Riaz Peerzada:

As for him prompting Shahbaz is pure power politics of BWP as with Gardezis now in PPP and Gardezi’s (BWP) and Gillani’s (Multan) relationship with PPP Southern Punjab President (RYK) is causing him nightmares, he knows he’ll be done in Khairpur Tamewali in next elections. He doesn’t have capacity nor he wield enough power to lead any group in seraiki belt. The other seat is of Tariq Basheer Cheema on bordering Yazman - he is an MNA (PMLQ) to be seen more closely than Riaz Peerzada for sure if recently changed scenario keeps going in the direction it is currently heading towards.........in short; exciting times ahead :)

@PakSword @Arsalan @Farah Sohail @Moonlight @QatariPrince @Verve please check your message!

As for putting political life of MNA's at stake; here's one example from June where Fed Ministers actively started weighing their options; as their survival politically is of immense importance to their existential dynamics within their constituencies. Those of us, who are aware about electoral politics in Pakistan will understand this more easily......just a very simple example....in order win a NA seat, one has to play many games including supporting sworn enemies' candidates to cut the vote of toughest rival, basically one has to be cunning, smart, and willing to a lot of borderline illegal things to reach the parliament to enact laws for the entire country :)

This is our current system, and honestly I do not see it changing until actual land reforms are carried out to break the shackles of feudalism - till then.....lets all keep hopes and dreams alive!

-----------------------------

Other miscellaneous topics.........

1. Zulfiqar Khosa leaving PMLN is huge indicator; that his space is finished in PMLN;he waited in the wings till the right time, just in the hopes he will be reaching top position in PMLN; so Khosa is leaving it now, because he knows that Nawaz is done and with Shahbaz he has virtually no chance whatsoever due to issues with Shahbaz and his son who is Ex (interim) CM Punjab.

2. I do not know why media is now talking about Forward Block in PMLN; it's so 1988 and 1990's :) when Aslam Beg's were kingmakers and they had a target: Benazir Bhutto ......who is target now......No one!

No forward block of that sort, I had been saying this for quite sometime that existing PMLN will break in splinters: at least three off-shoots as of now (splinter, hijack and en bloc joining other party ;) ), due to dynamics of the existing party composition coupled with electoral politics dynamics.

3. I am surprised there are many so called know all journalists :) have no idea about a huge action being discussed and planned for more than a month (have mentioned it over here as well), last resort action of dissolution of assemblies. I know most are stuck that March 18' is the red line; and come what may Nawaz will try to defer it; but in scheme of things it is very viable option for the pressure group to redeem itself.

4. NRO or whatever these analysts term is only done when something is offered in return, now the situation is that Nawaz is not in a position to offer anything to PTI, PPP, MQM, Army, Judiciary, and even Bureaucracy (especially when their promotions will be without intel reports now) - so in this situation what compromise, NRO, negotiation and with who?

5. PPP's non cooperation with Nawaz is also due to the fact that it now has an illusion that it can make a comeback capitalizing on fault lines within the current PMLN; they have to put up a strong posture / facade in the hopes that they can get some share in power. However, if Zardari gets sidelined; then a lot of interesting things can happen in elections too ;) As all major players in Sindh (MQMP/PSP/PPP) are open to discussion for seat alignment / adjustment.....:)

Interesting times ahead.....for sure!

An older post of Oct 20th, 2017 to put things into perspective - a lot of water passed under the bridge but general direction remained the same as of that post.

As Ch Ghulam stated that 98 will resign by Oct 28th, 2017 - never happened :) like I stated before - there is no Aslam Beg types who create forward blocks.

I posted before that PPP will try to exploit the existing and emerging fault lines and Zardari's getting sidelined (albeit on the face of it only), and now @PakSword will understand why I said that ever so called ready to leave / naraz Nisar will not leave but wait for "it" to be handed over when all options of Sharifarchy dries up (refer to Shahbaz and Hamza's fall in above post too).

Had to give background - interesting times ahead :)

@Arsalan @Farah Sohail @PakSword @Islam is hope @Imad.Khan @mosu @El_Swordsmen and @Moonlight

@Syed1. @Verve

Panama is slow poison drip for Nawaz and his sticking to the party as expected impacted the party now, now just imagine, what will be a career politician must be thinking who has to be in power no matter what party s/he has to join and shukar Allah that "someones" romance with idealism is dying it's natural death - if everything goes as it's going right now - there is no stopping for staunchest of Anti Sharif to be at the helm of country's affairs.

Enjoying the great winters of Pakistan with unhealthiest and yummiest of foods in the whole world and witnessing Sharif'archy being undone - which was put together by stupid architects of another romantic idealism lovingly called strategic depth.

Fun times ahead - depending on which side of the fence one is.... ;)

I always somehow miss that part in Punjab during my visits - there are 11 NA seats at stake in Fsd so do your magic and swing it in our favour - just around its corner (Jhang) there’s a big storm brewing up :)

Jhang wont have much effect on Faisalabad i believe and to be honest, Fsd is a lost cause. While the mood is changing here as well, the fact is Imran have not done much to change it in his favor! People here are hardcore and stubborn, just like IK himself and that is the real reason of PTI not being so popular in Fsd.

Objection my lord, in winter it's the healthiest foods of the season, like the dry fruits :D

Sharif'archy may have architects here but there are people from other side of the fence who have invested in Sharifs. They won't let it undone so easily. Like we've been seeing Nawaz Sharif throwing bouncers after bouncers recently.

Let's see what does Nawaz bring this time from London.

True - however I’ll wait for Dec 10th to see if it remains the same FSD.
