Pakistan’s PL-15 Missile Equipped JF-17 Block 3 is a Serious Game Changer - How India Can Respond to

centerline can carry 1000kg load, a normal SD10 is about 200kg, PL15 won't be heavier than 350kg at max.
Thunder can carry two CM400 missiles on the inner wings, it can certainly carry two PL15's on HP #3 and #5.
Everyone seems to be confusing two different BVRs
PL 15 has nothing to do with unnamed PL XX carried by flankers.

How about a missile fired at a target 300 km's away, the target detects the missile lock and tries to break it by moving in the opposite direction; however, the missile'e seeker has already acquired the target and continues to track it..........by the time the Missile catches up to the target, it has already traveled 500 km's or thereabouts with enough reserve energy to still continue the chase, if required........and thereby shooting down the target?

I don't think Rafael or any other 4.5 gen fighter can detect a BVR missile fired at the distance of 300 kms.Rafael has its radar detection range of about 150 kms against a fighter having RCS 2.5 sq meters. Its out of question that it would detect a BVR missile at 300 km distance.Even the IRST can not detect a BVR at that distance if you are referring to that.

Stating from an article by QUWA on Link-17:

"For example, the JF-17 can engage in ‘lock-on after-launch’ (LOAL) maneuvers using the SD-10 beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVR AAM). In LOAL, the missile is deployed to a waypoint near an approaching target, and when the BVRAAM is in the acquisition-bracket, its terminal active radar-homing seeker will activate and engage the target. In the case of the JF-17, an Erieye AEW&C could detect a target several hundred kilometers away; the JF-17 could use the feed to deploy the SD-10, and in turn, the SD-10 itself could benefit from course updates by data-link from the JF-17 or potentially even the AEW&C."

Last I checked the famedbj20 is flyin with half assed russian engines.

The biggest ship in pla is a cold war relic bought from ukraine

Damn do I miss the cold war, we had a real challenge then.

Time already to ul tje commies game, or I might just lose my jobs because of these nincompoops
When was the last time you won a war? You were a$$ kicked by N.Koreans. tiny Vietnamese and ragtag Taliban. Just one small exhibit of Chinese technology in South China sea 10 days back left all your aircraft in the air without communications. US needs to understand their military advantage on China has eroded greatly. IN many technologies China has crossed USA. With the start of the world trade independent of US dollar US superiority is toast.

Well you need to study the missile sensor technology first.

BVR's own radar has a very small range and start working in terminal chase only.

Boss, Hal has proved itself but even PAC does not prove anything till now except assembling but saying will make Azm fighter plane. No, Indians are trolling on that.
....

Coming to Hal Tejas Mk1a.. It will be very easy to develop for HAL... It's just kind of up gradation to already exist platform. Maximum 2 years but safer purpose I m saying max to max 2025.

I m not saying all 83 aircraft will be delivered before 2025.. It will be around 2027-28

HAL Tejas mark 2 will also not take much time. 1st prototype will be ready between 2023.. Induction from 2027.
Ok my friend I believe you. Whatever makes you feel good. We learned historical lessons hard way it's your turn to go through same process. But theres difference between Pak and Ind, we didn't had much cash to shop around but you guys do. We had all weather trusted friend China you guys got none. No one in world will give you first class stuff or know how to make your own. But its different for Pak. We are involved in something greater to come our way InshAllah.
To be honest we Muslims dont like wars but when war is imposed on us then we drink blood of our enemies. Through out history it's done by Muslims. Our ragtag armies destroyed superpowers of the time. We are the only nation on planet who loves to die on the name of Allah. No matter what you have and what you will buy or bring in battlefield, you will be destroyed. We have been told about this war in advance and its outcome so it's better you guys live in peace and let Muslims live in peace. Now you can carry on buying stuff and making stuff, we are not sleeping.

I would just like to add that the missile probably wouldnt be having so much fuel to travel 500 km + ranges. 300 km ranges in air to air combat are also just reserved for slow moving targets like AWACS. A fast moving target would bleed the fuel and the kinetic energy at a much faster rate resulting in a considerably low range.

LOTS of talk about 300km BVR ranges

But people dont realise 300km even 200KM BVR range is useless without the accompanying RADAR power

SO KLJ 7A the new AESA radar on Thunder has 170km range with a 5m RCS target plane.

So you may pick SU30MKI and MIG29 at 170km BUT zero chance of picking up Rafale OR Tejas at above 100km as both have rcs of under 1m

One more thing the PL15 has no ramjet technology SO beyond 150km it loses serious speed an kinetic energy

PLAAF adsvertise PL15 as AWACS killer ie SLOW LARGE MOVING TRAGETS.

This is why the Meteore is still the best rated BVR on planet earth ............. WHY = best NEZ and RAM JET

BVRs are the most effective when fired from high altitudes where the oxygen is thin...the PL15 will does not need air so it will cover its range with no trouble while the meteor will be chocking for air. don't count on the meteor for anything. and you can kiss the 1m rcs of the rafale or the comedy called tejas good by when you put missiles and fuel tanks on it. the only way the 1m rcs will come in handy when its flying with no payload. further more, datalink eliminates the need for the thunders to even have their AESA radars turned on while being able to see double the distance thanks to the AWACS flying far away.

its not too late man, return the rafales and get the tie fighters. ;)

PL 15 is not an advertised AWACS killer ... it is clearly meant for A2A missile aimed at other fighter jets. The PL-21, with a range of 400 km, is the AWACS/slow moving target with large RCS missile you're talking about. The PL-15 is the primary BVR A2A missile in the PLAAF.

The Indians will worship the Meteor just like they worship the Rafael. Too bad they don't have any indigenous products to worship or drool over lol .

didnt they worship au30 the same way

Yes ... they first worshipped the Su-30MKI, then they worshipped the FGFA/Su-57, and now they are worshipping the Rafael. Notice now they do not even mention any of the two previous fighter aircraft due to the numerous accidents/QC failures of the MKI and the disastrous joint venture. The funny thing is the only aircraft which the Indians have not worshipped is their LCA, which they say is among the best 4th fighters in the world .
