If Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was present today what would have been his response? Critical situations arose in his time too and his response was very clear.

Pakistan has grown up in many ways and not only can it take care of itself but also it's Kashmiri brothers who are left behind due to reasons.

But Jinnah Sb took care of Kashmiris even when Pakistan was a newly born state. Did he not know that the institutions weren't developed, financial condition was not strong and enemy was many times bigger. He knew everything.

So the doctrine that Pakistan should focus on economy before taking the certain actions is rejected by the Father of the Nation.

The things kept simple the better. The simple thing is that; Kashmir was a Muslim majority region and somehow became a disputed territory. One party that is India has done an act of oppression. Another party i.e. Pakistan has every right to react and act. If Pakistan would have done something like that in its side of Kashmir, India would also have the same right to react.

So now the question is what should be Pakistan's response.

A short and decisive war with India is better than prolonged, hate brewing war. We have to live here after all. Prolonged war would be equal to solving the problem and cultivating at the same time.

It's been more than fifty days since the curfew is imposed in Kashmir. Action from Pakistan would have been taken within a week. But as it was needed to tell the world. It is done. Now the situation demands action to end the problems of the Kashmiris.

Pakistan should conduct a nuclear test right now. And then let the Kashmiris welcome Pakistan as they are waiting for many days. Let the doors open.

Sorry took sweet my time to add my small input. Battery at 5% so not totally master of faculties required for such a vast subject you have opened. I shall try to offer a framework to contextualise our challenges/options ( @Shane if you could make mental notes for future reference, please)

Still soaking-in your thought provoking post and contemplating that link I posted about US, UK, China viz a viz Russians in 71...How Indian diplomacy works and how we are used to giving Indians walkovers instead of giving them even any semblance of a tough time, that when we do raise our diplomatic flag, the Indians along with their propaganda melt away in sands of time.
