After 5 year Gap, India to test fire Prahaar Tactical ballistic missile next week
http://www.defencenews.in/article/A...aar-Tactical-ballistic-missile-next-week-5888

Days after India cleared the hurdles for its entry into the elite Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is all set to go for a crucial test of surface-to-surface highly maneuverable tactical ballistic missile Prahaar.

Since Prahaar’s export variant ‘Pragati’ is being readied for interested nations, a successful test would definitely pave the way for its early production. ‘Pragati’ was first displayed at a defence exhibition in South Korea in 2014 where many friendly foreign countries had shown interest to purchase it. The entry into MTCR would facilitate the process.

Defence sources said preparations are on in full swing at Chandipur-based defence test facility off the Odisha coast for the test next week. In fact, two rounds of test of the missile have been planned in two days. “While the first one has been scheduled for June 14, the second one will be on June 16. The test window, however, is from June 14-17. If everything goes as per planned and weather favours, the missile will be test fired as per the schedule,” said a defence official. Prahaar, which can be comparable with ATACMS missile of the US, is a counter to Pakistan’s ‘Nasr’.

Developed by DRDO with the support of Missile System and Quality Assurance Agency (MSQAA), the missile is small, lean and slim to achieve better and high maneuvering mid-air. Its sophisticated inertial navigation and electro-mechanical actuation system give it an edge over other weapons in its class available elsewhere. It is developed to provide Indian Army a cost-effective, all-weather and all-terrain battle field support system.

The missile can be transported to anywhere within a short span of time and the canister-based launcher can be fitted with six missiles at once having different kind of warheads meant for different targets. It can be fired in salvo mode in all directions covering the entire azimuth plane. It has short cycle time of reloading and making the missile ready for launch.

In a gap of less than five seconds, the missile can be fired from same launcher in ripple firing mode. It has the capability of deployment in both stand-alone and canisterised mode. The missile’s maiden test was conducted in July 21, 2011 and since than it was kept under wraps for obvious reasons.

.
well keep dreaming but thing is owr hands are not tied behind the back ayub khan and musharraf both made the same mistake but fortunatelly back then there were no neuces in the subcontinent then but now its not like that also dont forget we are prepairng owr defnces for your so called wonder weapons like NASR , RAAD abd Babur or any billistic missile but you still have no answer to any of owr offensive weapons ... your only defnce is the neuclear jinni in the bottle once it comes out we aint gonna stop no matter even if half of south asia is wiped off ..... try it

dont worry we can work miracles with our budget all our offensive platforms will be strengthened and by hook or crook we will ensure your destruction whilst slowly building up our own defences

as i said keep dreaming and try it ... we are more than eager to respond .

Israel can be handled without any nuke. first we need to improve ourselves at personal level. :-)
aah now thats interesting

Windy My Friend Don't Understand Contest Of your Deviating the Subject And Putting ABM test Picture into current argument Which is Remotely Related To Topic in Hand :disagree:

As For That Indian ABM Tested 11 times Out which 9 times Its Successful That Quite Performance for
Any Demonstration-Validation Phase Technology The Record is Certainly better Than US THAAD Which has Failed 6 times out of 11 in this stage

Although I Don't think that NDC Pakistan Will Ever Come close to Develop ABM Technology in Next 50 years

Secondly Hindu Report is Based on Unnamed Source And With Wrong Technical Examples A Single blog With No Other Official Source over Govt Agency

I Witnessed here Many Prominent Poster of Pakistan Questioning Credentials of there own media When they take Line against Pak Army

Prahaar is comparable to Hatf–II Abdali and nothing tactical about it 'yet'.

LOL, key board warriors on both sides of the border are ready to nuke each other. I for one hope that nuclear missiles all over the world may never leave their silos and simply disintegrate without cause any harm to any one on this planet.

Pakistanis can brag as much they can. They are whining over Kashmir from last 65 odd years, If Pakistan is so much confident about Nasr, Thunder or whatever they have then why don't they attack India and liberate Kashmir ? We will beat you black and blue that you will forget everything. You must be thankful to Almighty in this Ramazan that we left you to this day.

whats the range and CEP of Haft.2 and the speed and do you fire it in a salvo mode like Prahaar ?

please provide a link thanks in advance
why don't you show me Prahaar fired in salvo mode first?

Sir Ji Hatf–II Abdali is SRBM certainly Not comes Under comparison with Prahaar Which is based on 6x6 MBRL System

My response was based on the test launch of both missiles.

Next time make an effort to talk through your mouth....and I'm sure the almighty did give you something called brain, try to utilise it, you may understand that it's your own country folks who are soiling their Dhotis at the mere mention of some Pakistani weapons.... besides, this is a Pakistani forum, we have the right to brag, where do you stand.

My response was based on the test launch of both missiles.
What Difference Between Two missile Except Prahaar Exhale Nasr in Both In term Range And Terminal Speed.

Both demonstrated Perfect Vertical-take -off Trajectory(See btw 51:00-57:00 )in flight Which Shows both can be fired using vertical launching system (VLS)

Hope you know what VLS Is

Also india is also has capability Of Cold Launch its Missiles Which Pakistan is Decades away from Maturing

Good! Proud eh? But how about developing educational institutes and hospitals too? Nukes aren't going to put more food on the table for the ordinary Pakistani!

This bombast of my dick is bigger than yours needs to end.

And by the way, when has Pakistan tested their so called battlefield tactical nuke, Nasr? If not, it means it isn't operational as yet and probably will not be for years! Needless to say, churning out propaganda is good to keep the morale up! :D

Cheers!
Proud...Yes...It is a great achievement by Pakistan.. Are you ashamed of Indian Progress in the Nuclear Field?.. Hope not.

Oh yes education institutes...the budget should be increased for making more institutes...still this leaves to address the main issue of quality of education? We should improve this before spending more on institutes...Do you not think this is the correct way to go about educational development? (Though this question of your was off topic)

The issue of hospitals and doctors is more political. The same doctors work in UK, Canada, USA etc that have taken medical education and work experience from Pakistan. The number of hospitals is less agreed but it can be increased through other means like welfare services, NGO, donations etc so why spend budget funds. (Though this question of your was off topic)

Even I could ask a few off topic questions. But what would they achieve other than derailing the thread... (You do not have to reply.)
Now please tell me how far has Indian budget allocated on making toilets?
How much on cleaning public places and tackling pollution of the streets of industrial cites?

Totally agree one should not get involved in who has a bigger dick because at the end it all comes down to who has the balls to use it.

Now going back to the topic.

As far as Nasr is concerned in time of war it would be ready...Don't you think this would also be true for various Indian missiles?

@OrionHunter Next time Please do not go off topic...

@Horus please try to keep this thread clean from getting out of hand. I have tried to keep this post as neutral as I could. Hope no negative ratings would be given.
