Since War on Terror, Pakistan heavily spending money on terrors. Basically growing Economy is very important for Pakistan, what is your predict whether our economy would be positive outcomes or slow decline in next 5-10 years?

Current GDP (nominal) is estimated $197 billion (2010)
Current GDP (PPP) is esimated $506 billion (2010)
GDP Per Capita: $2500 (2009)
Public debt: $50 billion (2009)

GDP

4.20 % (2010)
4.2% (2009)
3.6% (2008)
1.6% (2007)
? (2006)
8.4%
(2005)
6.4% (2004)

I urge Pakistan's economy must close to Trillions dollars or 2 Trillions dollars (estimated 450-500 billions dollars GDP-PPP) that is consider strong economy, when we achieve that status in your predict?

***Turkey is $879.9 billion (2009) and Indonesia is $960.2 billion (2009), Iran is $825.9 billion (2009)

Please analysis. And very much appreciate your inputs.

Economy GAP for Pakistan vs World is very serious, the world is moving forward quickly. Pakistan is getting very behind and keep behind !.

hmm....I say 20 years after pakistan changes its current economic policy

btw all the best to pakistan i hope to see some economic reform in the near future :pakistan:

By 2025, i say that Pakistan's GDP would have increased by 20-25%.
Lets pray for the best, and hope this government finishes fast.
Ameen.

the other macroeconomic variables should also be taken in account...the biggest one is inflation it is a economy killer.....we have a huge problem with that menace in india

Many of your figures are wrong.. for the right ones and Pakistan's growth trajectory.

Indicators for PAKISTAN

Thank you, there are many inaccurates economics websites and confusions. Last time GDP says 450 billions (which is now 650 billions according to your link), it say 166 billions???

Lol, not possible. It would be nice maximum closer to 10% per year

Inshalah it would be, but LOOK at our current so called government of proffesional Mafias that have been here following their grandfather's steps!

Our future generation needs to make a change and bring out great political leaders, ready to serve this country, and will give justice!

Alas, if I speak more, it will result in being Banned!

Our current GDP nominal 177 billion not 197 billion.

Pakistan economy did better after the war on terror started but last 3 years are very bad. this year GDP growth is only 0 to 2%. It will take 20 years to make a trillion dollar economy.

for increasing per capita income we need 8% growth rate according to planning commission's estimate. otherwise this expected bulge in labor force will turn into a disaster. remember much of population is youth meaning they will need jobs
