First true public appearance and everything else - he isn’t ready for this. Bhutto was polished well before he started doing these rounds - Zardari’s offspring has no exposure beyond protected public gatherings against people they consider slaves.
Here they are meeting seasoned state department personnel skilled in both negotiation skills and psychology. im surprised he didn’t just faint.

What do you expect? The man is a product of dynastic politics. Unfortunately, his mother's untimely death pushed him early into politics. He shouldn't be the leader of his party let alone FM. I was surprised there was no one more qualified they could have picked like Sherry Rehman.

I don't care much for any of the jokers in the entire Pakistani political landscape but childish posts and stupid threads like this are symptomatic of this absolute us vs. them mentality prevailing in Pakistan.

There are countless photos of IK with his hands folded, should one start making fun of those as well in a very childish manner?

Where does this end? Critique someone when they do something wrong. Respect someone when they represent your country without getting into petty partisanship.

How immature can we get?

I can turn this logic around very simply by stating the fact that IK was in the US and that too in the WH is perhaps indicative of him/his government being a slave. Why did he not stick with Russia and China? Why did he have to go to the US? After all that is the whole gripe here with Bilawal Z. going to the US, right?

Second, grant the fact that he is a 70 year old man vs. comparing to a 33 year old young man. Age brings about experience, however young age and lack of confidence do not betray "slavery" as you are trying to paint here.

I still remember Shah Mehmood Qureshi's major screw-up on CNN when he idiotically presented himself as an anti-semite on a platter to the CNN reporter. So give people some rope. You don't then you and your side won't get much rope either. Petty insults and finger pointing by the other side is what I see ahead for IK and PTI as well given the current state of affairs.

Loyalty to his country, and integrity.

It was surprising that he took this stand, and defended his country's PM's actions, even if that PM was from a different party, and was an individual that he might have opposed firmly in the internal political situation in his country.

And yes Bilawal did oppose ex PM Imran Khan's foreign policy while he was opposition leader. He threatened to bolt his historic OIC meeting as well
