Pakistanis posing as Afghans is not to run away from anything, rather it makes for them easy to claim political asylum and stay.

You have nailed it my friend, during the court proceeding asylum seeker provide evidence that their country is war-torn hence seeking better life in Australia; and being form Afghanistan does the trick. If they showed they are from Pakistan the application would be rejected (normally straight away 90%) with a verdict "Pakistan is safe for living and you can live normal life there". Many here probably won't believe me but this is the usual verdict if you are from Pakistan.
There has been some instances where the application was not rejected and matter went into multiple hearings but again Asylum was given on temporary basis until all the investigation has been exhausted.

IF you show you are from Afghanistan you get permanent visa.

Lets all be honest here, most middle class families strive to settle outside as there are better opportunities. And since it is very hard to achieve, we find shortcuts. And it is true for most Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, Nepalese etc. Afghanistan being our next neighbor; people exploit this and use the opportunity. I bet if India had a neighboring territory which is accepted by western countries to grant Asylum, they would harvest it no questions asked.
Look around and see how many of your friends or relatives want to settle abroad and are willing to spend a fortune? And the ones who can't spend they choose other available routes.

Anyone can get , any fake passport in malasia, its 3 to 5,000 rangit/malaysian ,dollrs, the route couild be, from malaysia via speed boats to indonesia, thn to ausstralia , aussi govt normally, catches 3 out of 5, boats every week!
Most of these afghans, are from tAjik & hazaras, who don't see, their future, even after 2014 in Afghanistan, no pushton, involved!

We're probably the stupidist country in the world..! Yes I believe in Muslim Brotherhood but if the person standing next to you despises you a lot never mind him actually calling you 'his Brother' then who the heck are we trying to delude but yourselves...? afghans have really polluted and abused our passport.. first they applied for pakistani passport & now when they know that they can get asylem .. they are going back to afghan consulate give them bribe and make fake docs.. and apply for australian visa..
I myself met an Afghani in a Pakistani restaurant who was working here on Pakistani passport..

Afghans in Pakistan live like lords but when it comes to tax they are "Gharib Sarey" and "Musaffar sarey"......They enjoy such things in abroad too atleast when it comes to asylum they get it much easily than other nationality or as Pakistani ( As we are not a total war torn country).......

Asylum seekers come from Afghanistan via Pakistan and have Pakistani citizenship which makes them Pakistanis. So yea Aussies are fair to accuse us but on a faulty logic. BTW Australia has a policy not to allow people who have spent 5 years in Pakistan to seek asylum, they cooperate with NADRA on this matter.

Asim , the people we are talking about are Afghans with Pakistani citizenship. Legally they are Pakistani hence Australian immigration has to come up with such assessment.
