Pakistanis In Pakistan! Why Dont you have a Second Job or a Side Hustle?

.
I think Pakistanis are some of the hardest working people in the planet.

Not sure about hard working, but Pakistanis are most resilient nation, despite establishment sucking the blood of Pakistanis for last 74 years.

Any other nation would have collapsed after 400+ drone attacks on its soil.

In Pakistan , main hustle is problem , Side hustle is door ki baat

Exactly. Look at the chairman/DG of all government institutions, you'll find servicemen occupying top position. In 220 million population, is no civilian capable of holding the top office?

Karachiites can't even get a govt job in their own city because of shitty quota system. 50% of Karachi land is owned by cantonment/DHA. The top-tax paying city condition is worst than current Moen jo Daro

--- Also, majority of Punjab budget was spent on Lahore by PMLN govt, ignoring the developmental demands of people from other parts of Punjab, especially South

-There is a lot of talk of Inflation and people not being able to meet ends meet ends!
-But it is here to stay all over the world and the ONLY WAY to handle it to INCREASE THE INCOME!
-So Why YOU Do NOT HAVE A SECOND JOB or a SIDE HUSTLE?
-It happens all over the WORLD!!!
-Why you do not drive for Uber or Deliver food/grocery through another app?
-Why you cannot see sell fries/other eatables at a food stall in the evening?
-Why you DO NOT ENCOURAGE/ASK FEMALE (Wife/Sister/daughter/Grand Mother )members of the family to Work?
-Why you retired CIVIL & ARMY personnel do not Work post retirement even though they have 40 more years to live????
-WHY YOU are so DAMN LAZY Country and ITS People)?

The idealogy behind , main hustle and side hussle depend on few factors

a) The Side hustle economy works only when you have society where
people have money left in their banks and pockets , so they can
do repairs around home

1) Paint their building
2) Paint or repair their Wall
3) Build their garden / install trees and plants
4) Renovate their Washroom or Fix their interior wall
5) Install a outside Patio or Deck
6) Fix plumbing in home
7) Install Solar Panels
8) Develop the road outside their home (minor road maintenance)
9) May be work part time in Restaurant or Shop

b) The Side hustle job demands you have fixed 8-5 hours for first gig and
you can get to your side gig on time

What many people consider a "Side Hustle" is the Primary Job for many Pakistanis

The Golden office Job is may be attained by few lucky folks in Pakistan
Similarly there is heavy competition for Federal Jobs

Large amount of Jobs can only be generated , with Programs which PTI introduced that is the only reality

A chunk of Punjabs taxes come from Faisalabad - it did get devalopment but not nearly enough

.
and Pakistanis becoming lazy is not a racial thing but was a direct result of 1970s Bhuttos nationalization and later governments subsidizing policies
Its coz parents dont throw kids out at age 16 to fend for themselves.

I think Pakistanis are some of the hardest working people on the planet. Might not be the case for upper/middle class, but people with businesses sweat their asses off. Physical laborers, truck drivers ect. All very hard working.
Will a laborer or truck driver get rich through hard work?

You ever seen construction workers in action? I think Pakistanis can break the world record for brick laying. Some of the workers are in their 60’s and 70’s, catching bricks with their hands from one and a half a story high.

I started late in life.
You are never late, you gained experience during all that time. Now you had the guts to put ideas into practice and 90% don't even have these guts so consider yourself unique.

In Pakistan , main hustle is problem , Side hustle is door ki baat
Batain karwa lo, jitni karani hain.

Majority don't have any aim or dream that drives the passion to go to the top. Just looking for shortcuts.

Elites sitting on top of mountains of wealth that is earned through corruption/kickbacks and asking ordinary people why are you poor/lazy
That is a wrong notion. Maybe elites grabbed on opportunities (legal or illegal) that other didn't. God gives opportunities to everyone. It depends upon the individual whether son of a sweeper or son of the PM.

My cousin topped exam for CSS. Brilliant guy, very hard working and honest to the core. Didn’t pay rishwat for post in administrative service. The guy that came in second place did and got the post.

He after getting so much education is back in the village doing kino farming.

Ahh le avdi dreams te ambitions.

A close friend of mine, son of a Lt Col, extremely proficient and disciplined, didn't get selected in Army, started a business and is well off today through his own hard work, now says Im glad I didnt get into Army, I am doing what I like.

Your cousin got where he was meant to be.
Glass is half empty or half full ? its the way you look at it

He is doing well kino farming. But trust me when I say he is more deserving and capable than half the members on this forum.

He never traded his principles for riches and maybe he is happier than most people are.

Have you read about Brian Banks ? Or seen the movie Brain Banks ? Its on Netflix.

Guy was 16, a football player. One night, he made the right decision with a girl, which landed him in jail for years. He didnt do anything to the girl but she alleged he xxxx her. He didnt do anything to her coz he feared for his future of football. He got a stupid lawyer who told him to plead guilty. He was young and listened to his lawyer. He was sent to jail and then spend more years after that wearing ankle lock which showed his location wherever he went.

He could have said lawyers are liars, justice system is corrupt. He could have taken it out on his lawyer or blamed the system all his life. He didnt. Hell he could have shot dead his lawyer.

Even when free, he was barred from football. Carried a disgusted label that couldn't get him a job anywhere.

He went to another lawyer, who didn't help him at first. He kept going back again and again to him. Brian was in late 20's now, his prime age wasted. Brian didn't give up and after a lot of effort, the new layer listened to him, got his case together even when court kept dismissing the evidence and Brian won the case and could play foot ball and became a free man from all labels.

Now, Im not pointing out at you, but whats happening on PDF ? blame the system. Blame this, blame that.

Mate, keep blaming everything and everyone around you. Stay stagnant.

To become successful in Pakistan, you have to be a crook. Some people just can’t burden their conscience with that.

Have you read the autobiography of Sadruddin Hashwani ?
He started as a laborer and now owns Marriott chain. Read his book. I have read it.

I quoted you in an earlier post that do laborers and drivers get rich ? I knew you have all talk and blame games, nothing concrete.

Hashwani knows how to negotiate. You can rely on crookery to get rich, he relied on his negotiation skills.
He can blame the system too since he had a face off with Zardari in mid 80's and till now Zardari hates his guts. He doesn't blame the system, you can and so can other PDF members.

Why would people work so hard just to attain their basic rights when emigrating is an easier option? What incentivizes them to stick around?

Other nations appreciate skills and meritocracy. It’s no wonder that Pakistan will always remain a banana republic.
