Pakistanis drink more tea than Indians: report

NEW DELHI: According to a report in an Indian daily, Pakistani’s consume more Tea than Indians.


The average per head consumption in Pakistan is 1 kg per year compared to 800 grams in India.

In 2010 the world consumed 3,980 million kg of Tea, and the average per head consumption for Ireland and the UK was 2 kg.

THAT TEA IS BRINGING PROBLEMS LIKE LIVER AND OTHER DISEASES.

Hate tea, they way they make it here, it has no nutritional values. Tea is good in preventing cardiovascular diseases, but the deal is to not add milk to the tea.

i drink only one cup of tea every day...even during night shifts i drink hot water rather than drinking tea or coffee....moderation is the key..

tea is great and it does not affect the liver in anyway research has shown teas like black and green tea to have beneficial health effects. Punjabi tea is the best a lot of milk and a lot of black tea from Assam will do you good

Drinking more tea does not neccesarily mean that it's healthy. Although I drink at-least 3 or 4 cups a day. I know it's addicting!

just like on per capita basis pakistan consumes more milk than india, more fruits than indians its just about that still living standard in Pakistan is higher than indians

& Pakistan is a consumer society like US, Pakistanis do less savings & spend more

I read a report saying that Pakistan spends half a Billion $$$ annually on tea. Another thing to add is the fact that we import all of it. Imo, people need to consume less of it or grow in their backyard....
