If murder and rape both carry the same punishment - then anyone who rapes will also kill the victim. Killing and burying the victim will substantially decrease the probability of the perpetrator being caught. And even if he is caught, he is going to be put to death both ways for rape or for murder. So in all likelyhood the perp will kill his victim.

I would like to ask a question to thread starter about the objective of such kind of thread...You know the thread rape is usually another indirect harassment to the victim that punishment to the rapist...Although in the thread many people show sympathy with the victim, but unnecessarily you are giving unwanted publicity to some sad incident with a woman which should not have happened...Same thing happens in Indian news paper too...When you publish any rape related news ...people have a curosity and human pschye to know much about the victim which is not a good thing...
