Pakistani sentenced to death for blasphemy on social media

.
Either learn the easy natural way or the hard way. They should be thankful they still have the freedom to choose between the aforementioned two options.

Ask those in middle east or other non democratic republics who don't enjoy such a 'luxury'.
Well your country your law mate. If it works well then fine.

Raza was arrested last year for allegedly posted derogatory content about Sunni Muslim religious leaders and wives of the Prophet Mohammed on Facebook.

Under Pakistan’s harsh blasphemy laws, anyone accused of insulting God, Islam or other religious personalities can be sentenced to death

Not sure what "The Nation" is up to but death penalty (under 295-C PPC) is reserved for those who use derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Insulting other religious personalities is an offence (under 298-A PPC) punishable by a prison term of up to 3 years and/or fine.

298-A. Use of derogatory remarks, etc., in respect of holy personages:

Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of any wife (Ummul Mumineen), or members of the family (Ahle-bait), of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), or any of the righteous Caliphs (Khulafa-e-Rashideen) or companions (Sahaaba) of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.

Why aren't blasphemy cases charged against Pakistanis on PDF who continuously insult Hinduism. By Pakistani laws these people should get death penalty for insulting a religion followed by 2% of Pakistani citizens.

Pakistani citizens who are Hindus can use 295 A

A case under 295-A for insulting Hinduism (or any other religion for that matter) can only be registered upon complaint made by the Central Government, or the Provincial Government concerned, or some officer empowered in this behalf by either of the two Governments, not upon direct complaint made by any Pakistani Hindu citizen.

(Section 196 of the Pakistan Code of Criminal Procedure prohibits courts from taking cognizance of certain offences unless complaint is made by the government. It empowers the government alone to become complainant and prosecute cases registered under section 295-A)

A case under all other clauses of section 295 (offenses related to insulting Islam) can be registered upon complaint made by any Pakistani Muslim citizen.

I believe that Pakistan Code of Criminal Procedure should be amended and (as in case of 295-A) only the Central or concerned Provincial governments should have the authority to make complaints about offenses related to all religions, including Islam. This will greatly reduce the misuse and abuse of Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan.
