Pakistan told them no, we are not taking part because Iran is our ancient neighbor, soon we will have a gas pipeline between our countries and soon Iran will start to grow in all fields after the nuclear negotiations. We can benefit from that. We also have a shia minority.

Congratulations to Pakistan, this can be be a turning point for Pakistan to rid itself from ME hellhole, Arab money and abusing and closing itself to Asian powers like China, Japan or even India, achieving a permanent peace with the latter, then using its immense potential and excellent human resources to develop the country.

Pakistan has paid a huge price for its wrong policies in 80s and 90s, while Arabs were busy using your country as a operation station to support their backward Taliban fellows who then came back to haunt Pakistan, they didn't even touch Arab countries, only Pakistan and Afghanistan paid the price at the end.

Good decision by Pakistani politicians, it's very important, I hope the trend continues.

I don't usually discuss politics in specifics on this forum, because my view is that all the parties are good for nothing, with varying degrees of filth, incompetence and stupidity between them. I've almost always only criticised Pakistanis as people and individuals. I'm a firm believer in change from the bottom up. That's why I'm ruthless when it comes to the stupidity and hypocrisy of the average Pakistani.

A huge part of the extremism issue, now engrained into the lives of individuals is traced back to as you've said, adopting a foreign brand of our religion, importing several systems of beliefs and schools of thought and changing the laws and the system itself to accompany.

One of the BIG problems now, is that if tomorrow, Pakistan became secular. The extremist and backwardness would become openly hostile. Even if laws were changed slowly, the progress would not be quick.

It's one thing to have poor policy, it's another thing to raise generations of people under said policies and make them accustom to it. Because once the ideology is adopted by individuals in society, no change from the top down will have any real effect. In short, even if we were to rid ourselves of the ME mess and adopt a more Pakistani state theology...

The damage is done, you cannot undo the minds of people indoctrinated.

Conversely, if change occurs from the bottom up, no screw ups in the system above can harm as much a strong willed and progressive society.

No, obviously this is a liberal, secular, shia conspiracy. Anyone who opposes war and the Saudis in their wars is an infidel.
Anyone who refuses to fight their war for them is an Iranian puppet and coward. Anyone who opposes Iran's stance must also be a Saudi puppet. Wouldn't it be easier if Pakistan was an island in the middle of pacific? Only neighbours sharks, remote islands, and those peaceful Hawaiians?

Affirmed support to territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia (official red line), calls for peace talks, offers to broker them with Turkey. Pakistan also asked Iran to withdraw support from Huthis, so did Turkey.

For the first time Pakistan is emerging like a mature state.
