LAHORE: Pakistani military officials have rejected a recent report published in an online Afghan newspaper 'Khaama Press' which alleges that Pakistani troops fired more than 100 missiles into the Kunar province.

Khaama Press reported that over a 100 missiles fired by Pakistan Army troops landed in Dangam district. In this regard, spokesperson of the Governor of Kunar, Wasifullah Wasifi had reportedly said that no people were injured but property was massively damaged.

When contacted for comment by this scribe, senior officials maintained that Pakistan has never resorted to cross-border shelling "except as retaliaton". The sources said the reality was in actuality the opposite i.e. simultaneous attacks are carried out on Pakistani security forces from the north-eastern Afghan province by miscreant elements.

"The Pakistan Army or any of its related security forces have never carried out offensive attacks into Afghan territory except during retaliation upon attack from the western border", officials maintained. "Furthermore, the number of missiles alleged to have been fired as a defensive mechanism are not in the numbers which have been claimed with exaggeration".

100 missiles would have brought them into stone age. And btw, if it was true, then NATO would have been the first one to blame. These claims are nothing but B.S. :hitwall:

. . .
BS report! 100 missiles would have razed that area to smithereens. :sniper:

.
100 missiles?
Or projectiles?
One is guided and the other isnt..
Goes to show the military knowlege of Afghan officials... Their knowledge ends at kalashinkov and ANFO.
Good step by PA if they are shellingthe border areas..will keep the cross border attackers away..
PA has suffered brutal loss of life from their hands.. Enough is enough..
Keep shelling.

.
projectiles can be guided too. Have you not seen "Wanted". You just have to curve your arm when you shoot. :flame: ...On serious note PA should just mine the area and ignore Nato claims. I see this as prelude to something big after 2014. Just mine the Durand line so that Nato or anyone else doesnt question it as illegitimate border!

Mining is an old solution....and dangerous, and can be worked around...
For example sending in a herd of donkeys running in the mined area will clear the area at donkeys' expense....and infilterators can walk in...
A more electronic...real time surveilance based solution is more appropriate..
The area has mountainsand large areas can be watched from mountain tops...

.
Any claims from Afghan officials or just online newspaper ???

.
^^^ Being reported by khaama.com.
Dont know how authentic..but does claim to be an Afghan news paper.

.
Mine + real surveilance (human not electronic). Electronic can easily be jammed. Donkey situation could be avoided by digging a trench 2 m deep and 1 meter wide before the mined area!

.
LOL 100 missiles  Afghanistan wouldn't be on the world map if PA ever fired that many "missiles".

.
in news reports missiles are often used for shells etc, but still 100 shells can level a village.... considering PA use 155 and 203 mm in the mentioned area.

.
actually pak army should do it . as wat ever they are claiming now lets do it practically so they will know whats the meaning of 100 missiles
