Pakistani Milgem Likely in Trouble

i personally dont think so pakistan navy will buy anything in next 50 years for sure

. . .
The flood devastation will be well taken care off if we market our economic progress right to invite capital and business ventures. Enough of this millitary centric power!

I think It is already active. This is my personnel idea that The latest developments/visits/interests leaded... Otherwise, There was no need to visit Milgem to see the latest developments over it.

PN should replace all Amazon type 21 junk with OHPs or fill the gap with Chinese F-22ps.

I think we need more Subs. Submarines can be more lethal and less prone to air attack as compared to frigates, whether Milgem or not.

Turkey might consider extending a loan or something?

But i think, down the road, we must have 12 major surface combatants.
at least 6 submarines and host of Naval jets.

If those OHP are going to be used in ASW roles i see no reason for Milgem induction. Price is a issue here and the Milgem would probably be the most expensive purchase(per unit) made if Pakistan went for them. It all depends on what roles need to be filled and how much it is going to cost. Only time will tell what course PN will take on new surface ships. Right now though the OHPs are what is on the table and not the Milgem but that could change overtime.

It sucks the deal looks dead. These stealth corvettes would have been the most advanced surface vessels PN would have acquired. It would have given PN considerable multirole stealth capability.
Considering hundreds of Indian Su-30 and MiG-29s armed with BRAMOS, I dont see a reason for Pakistan to invest in advanced surface vessels. Better to buy from Turkey Anka UAV, T129 Helis, UMTAS anti tank missiles.

Mate, Are you same "500" from militaryphotos? :) Do you have some relationship with Turkey ?

I will personally send a thank you note to the Indian Navy if they fire the super duper Brahmos at our ships. Considering the fact that it will be travelling at supersonic speeds at a much higher altitude, its huge RCS will alert the opposing ship with a good radar in ample time. A well armed ship can easily neutralize a missile with a High IR signature. I would be more worried if the IAF fighters fire ASM, a sea skimming missile with a much lower RCS is much more dangerous.

We know exactly what to buy from Turkey, but thank you for your suggestion. What if i told you PA, PAF and PN are actively engaged with Turkey in many defence related projects. Our Turkish Brothers have been very generous in sharing technology and involving us in many important projects. Several Turkish Electrical and Sub Electrical Components have been installed in many assets used by our Armed Forces, soon you will see more Turkish Hardware/Software coming online with our Armed Forces. Most of these deals are kept under the radar and thats why you wont read about them in the newspaper, so here you learned something new today on PDF :pakistan:

I know some Rafael guys and they dont share your optimism about countering new Russian supersonic missiles. But probably u know better.

And Pakistan will sit empty hand right? By the time Milgem is inducted PN will have most of its OHP operational with most probably MK13 retained. Meaning SM-2 will likely be its primary AAW weapon which will be more then capable enough to engage any AShM or CM.
And Milgem wont just roam around in the indian ocean while being prone to AShMs.
