Pakistani-Indian diaspora relations

For Pakistanis living abroad, what have your experiences with Indians been like? do you have any Indian friends? are the ones you meet abroad like the ones we see on social media?
Back stabbers....Never trust them.

indians are a BIG NO NO NO!...........Avoid them at all costs, even more than covid-19. Keep WELL AWAY from ALL of them. Just give them "yes" and "no" answers. DO NOT treat them like human beings. ALL other races/communities are okay to socialise/interact with but indians are a strict NO NO.
Mind sharing some of your experiences that made you come to this conclusion?

Just EVERYTHING about indians makes me feel physically sick. The way they are all hyper ugly, the way they walk, talk, behave, their cultural norms and the weird sounds they make when they eat. Another thing about indians is that they have a hive mentality and worship power. indians have a severe propensity to lie, cheat, be highly corrupt and NEVER do things for righteous reasons. Also, indian men are very effeminate and are not strong willed like non-indian men.

Can’t the same be said of Pakistanis? I think it's a two-wy street.

Still, it’s interesting to hate a people in the abstract (I hate all Pakistanis, for example), but like individuals (that Mr. Khan is a nice person or Mrs. Massod is a nice lady, etc.)

I try not to hate people as a group. I follow the simple rule: be nice to me and I will be nice to you.
Yes it’s two way, but alot of Pakistanis don’t care. I was at training and it was something to do with terrorism info etc, my Indian colleague out of nowhere said Pakistan when terrorism was brought up, instructor later told her that We don’t judge a book from its cover and it’s not only one nationality or group of people, honestly I was shocked when she said that, she was talking casually to me minutes before, maybe I don’t look really Pakistani (people assume Pakistanis are dark brown, I’m light brown) etc so she assumed I was not Pakistani. Tbh that still sits in my heart till this day And I have constant doubts whenever I am Interacting with indians, I keep it professional with them, nothing more nothing less.

In most scenarios (student, professional) you will not see any angst or hatred because the mob mentality remains within. In fact, one of the most wonderful people I have know was an ardent RSS member and Modi supporter but also one who truly understood spirituality a belief. They may or may not be bigoted with Muslims but on a personal level most diaspora will interact as friends or even at times as family.
Because one thing that people do realize is that in a minority diaspora setting Desis will get along just fine. There is always that group of idiots who decide to spread hate but they are easily coaxed into acting normal. Houston is a great example of a divided diaspora because they are in majority and from all nations but the general day to day is pretty much getting along especially on the educated side.

The store clerk or other category may be less integrated but there isnt hostility as such. Frankly, everyone is here for a better life than the third world mess they came from and they arent stupid enough to try and compromise it in general for things from back home.

i have a very different experience with Indians.
during Gen Musharraf times cricket diplomacy was in full swing. their team visit us and we were making reciprocal tours.

although it was not the first time i interacted with them. but this time we were hosting them. during their visits we had several sensitive discussions but in a very constructive way. may be it was because there was educated lot on both sides. a few of their elders did visit old areas of Lahore and Karachi where they once reside.

we also visit India to watch the matches and we were welcomed very well. even to this day we exchange greetings at each other events like Eid, Diwlai etc.

still i would say it was a good time may be. one can understand how leadership sitting at the top can develop relationship or ruin everything.

Indians smell like fried fish. One thing I really want to tell to Bangladeshis and Indians that guys, your clothing should be put away from kitchen.

Fun aside, they hate us, we hate them, end of story. Sometimes it's even funnier to see 5 Indians 4 Pakistanis working in a team of designers, while haldly ever talking to each other. People from South were kinda neutral uptill now, but now I see a deep message in their eyes as well.

But I am always having gun in my hand, and I usually don't let anyone to cross his limit.

Seems like someone violated you to the core, and you are living the trauma every moment of your life.

May you have some peace and respect for yourself..

Be civil, socialise and interact but never ever trust one. No matter how nice they are to your face specially when they need something from you, behind your back, its always a venomous reality. Its not really their fault, they have been brainwashed by Indian channels and previous generations.
I once had an Indian class fellow accuse Pakistani govt and army for the Bombay attacks that happened in 2008. Ab kis kis ko samjhai koi.
