What's new

Pakistani hackers hack into Indian planes, force them to listen to “Dil Dil Pakistan”

Only in airports close to LOC. I read they easily change the frequency.

Anyway, this is a new low even by Pakistani standards. Attacking civilan planes which could crash and kill innocent people. You are just proving what the world thinks about you as 'terrorists'. Please avoid enforcing such stereotypes about yourselves.

If you wish to avenge the surgical strikes, please use your army not such childish and cowardly actions like balloons, pigeons and hacking into plane frequencies targeting civilans. And oh, also hurling stones at our civilians at the wagah border. By doing all this Pakistanis are only reinforcing the long held stereotypes about them without managing to avenge the strikes that have caused such pain and anguish to them.

.
This is probably a demonstration of punge bazi or skill set not many in the world can do although i cant advocate civil airlines .
plane spotters regularly tune into aircraft to ATC communication on approach, these idiots decided to butt in and start transmitting radio, and that's not too much of a skill set at all.

.
What Hacking ?

You just broadcast on the particular VHF frequency used by commercial airlines. These are not military frequencies and are common knowledge.

But VHF has a limited range 50 miles, so if the VHF is broadcasted from right near the LOC, it might make it to Srinagar airport.

But ATC have strong transmitters and if the airplane is nearer to the tower, when ever ATC tower will transmit the Pakistani transmitter will cut out.

One gets a feeling that India is wasting time with a naive bunch not worth of being an adversary.

Reminds me of Qandeel Baluch's video "HAMSE DARO".

. .
Everyone who is out there explaining the process is really simple and every Idiot wit a VHF can do it . you are wasting time with them :D let them have their fun .

.
If This news is true, then those people should be jailed for 10 years at least.

Same as some people use laser to blind pilots.

It's criminal act which should dealt with strong severity

.
Nothing Special here! This is not even Hacking ... This is known as Frequency Transmission. There is a specific frequency of every System Signals. In Indian Planes, Pilot do listen over specific frequencies which are in terms of Bands. Now, Pakistan over the border from short range can Transmit the exact same frequency of the Band, and whosoever who Receives any Frequency at the Same Band, could hear what Pakistani's have transmitted. Hacking is nowhere in this case, This demonstration requires a Modulator, VHF Transmitter, USRP etc. It's a old school thing. If Indian Transmit over the Frequency which Pakistani Airplanes receive, than Pakistani pilots would hear what they want. But, i think this is a pretty much kiddish stuff.

.
Seems like Indian pilots doesn't like some fresh breath of air.

.
that was a free gift to indian pilots being fedup by constant bak bak of indian media....anyway good choice to be heard

.
Please try or ask your Surma`s to try to hack .
I am a full time intern at IIRS and i know very well how these things works. Its just a case of transmitting voice data over a particular frequency.

1) Civilians on Indian side of Wagah aren't allowed to witness the parade since last week, probably since the day of the hoax claimed by Indian govt, so your argument of Pakistanis throwing stones is invalid.

2) If such electronic jamming or problems are being caused to Indian civilian airliners, then its condemnable and govt should look into the matter and arrest those responsible for this irresponsible behavior.

3) As far as your argument of hoax strikes is concerned, the entire international media visited the sites on LOC, journalists talked with the locals and observed the area, three days ago already. International Media including Washington Post, CNN, BBC and New York Times are now reporting and endorsing Pakistan's assertion and stance on the matter. In this age of information, international community doesn't have the appetite for mythological fantasies. After these reports in international media , opposition politicians in India itself are questioning the authenticity of the official narrative. UN mission on both sides of LOC and US State Dept have refused to acknowledge that any such incident even took place. It reflects your obdurate attitude that despite being an embarrassment infront of the international community you're clinging to your stance while your govt has refused to provide any details to your chest thumping media.
