Pakistani Footballer Hajra Khan makes a case for gender-neutral fashion and looks good doing it

Lashtik hoga. Laydiss log naara nahin pehenti

are you saying the rope is sexist and that's why only men get hanged?

Sangeen Ghaddari se lekar Falooda money laundering sirf launday hi karte hai?

aurton ko bhi huqooq dena chaiye. wo bhi equal ghaddar or economic terrorist hain

How is that her fault? Blame the politicians and government for that. What does her wearing shalwar kameez have to do with your rant?

Well let’s see. If I’m surrounded by poverty and I have the privilege of both a national voice and financial success what should I do ... advocate for nonsense BS like gender neutral clothing or give a damn about the people dying of hunger all around me? No normal person cares about what someone wears. When the house is on fire you don’t talk about the drapes.

"The concept of gender-neutral clothing is important because it allows everyone to feel comfortable in their own bodies," said the footballer.

Did someone say queen?

As a woman in Pakistan, it doesn't matter how successful, kind, ambitious or talented you are. Somehow, the conversation is always directed to what you are wearing, if not, how you are wearing it.

When footballer Hajra Khan took to social media to share her Eid outfit, a fierce navy-blue shalwar kameez, the moral police couldn't handle it.

It didn't matter that Khan had a Guinness World Record hat-trick, what mattered was why she wore what she was comfortable in, instead of adhering to conventional standards.

This time around, the clothes weren't "too revealing," they were supposedly too masculine.

Well, joke's on them; androgynous cuts are having their moment so not only does Khan look bomb, she's also on-trend!

For those who might be confused about what androgynous style might be, it's fashion that aims to avoid gender stereotypes. The best thing about it? Clean lines, simple cuts and bye bye skin-tight clothing.

Khan wasn't letting anyone dim her sunshine or indulge in cyber-bullying, and made sure to let the world know she was going to wear whatever she wanted to wear.

"CLOTHES HAVE NO GENDER," captain of the Pakistan's women's national team reinstated for those, who clearly did not understand this phenomenon. "Any clothing we're going to choose to wear will be inevitable gendered."

"We should not have to live in a world where people have to justify how they feel. Having the concept of gender-neutral clothing is important because it allows everyone to feel comfortable in their own bodies."

"Everyone deserves to feel free and beautiful without judgment. And like James Badwin said, took many years of vomiting up all the filth I had been taught about myself and halfway believed, before I could walk around this Earth like I had the right to be here."

"I have the right, you have the right, we ALL have the right," she continued.

"Mujhko kisi ke baap ki ijazat nahi chahiye koi bhi kapray pehene ke liay, "Khan declared. (I don't need anyone's permission to wear whatever I want)

"Athletic wear has always been gender-neutral. And I will keep choosing to wear clothes that make me feel comfortable in my own skin. We need to normalise gender neutral fashion."

In the end, the national star shared her two cents about what she felt about the trolling.

"When a fool utters all kinds of insults against you on social media without even knowing you, or without any worthwhile reason or provocation, usually they are merely sad and pathetic attention seeking trolls we should all feel sorry for. They don't deserve our anger, they deserve our pity."

You go, boss lady!

Amusing...

Quarantine has given many Boredom and lots of time

The misogyny in the thread is so amusing. Culture so weak it's threatened by a girl wearing male shalwar kameez.

yeah let’s clarify a few things. When people are disgusted by things that are disgusting they aren’t scared of anyone or threatened by them. They’re disgusted. We are the majority. We aren’t afraid of freakish elite. We r offended by them. Offense is not fear or feeling threatened. I’m offended by the RSS. I am not afraid of them.

Stop acting like the representative of Pakistan. Tumharay apne dimagh ka khannas hai. What is disgusting about her? Nangi ghoom rahi hai kya? You're so weak and pathetic you need to bully a girl for wearing a men's shalwar kameez.

uski lungi tumhari problem kyon hai?
bhatakne do kia masla hai?

Ever thought why in Islam , the state is responsible to protect the society from the unethical wants and needs of Individual ? When you allow one person than more people are bound to follow them, as they say Kharboozay ko dekh ker Kharbooza rang pakarta hai " , Trust me the time is not far when young guys will dress as women with Wigs and demands entry in Women washrooms ..

People like you can't be reasoned with, I've had my experiences. The only answer I can give to you is

Hum tou karain ge jo karna hai. Ukhaar lo jo ukhaar sakte ho. 2021 ka Aurat March aur bhi zor o shor se hoga. Mera jism meri marzi ke naaray aur zor se lagayein ge. Kisi ke baap ki jurrat hai tou rok ke dikha de. Bloody bigots. Don't see child trafficking and bonded labour in the villages but have issues with women deciding their own clothing choices.
