Pakistani Experts Admit Chabbar Port Will Dilute Gwader Potential

Rizq is from Allah, Allah provides everyone with a minimum amount, regardless of our efforts. You will not get a rupee less than what is written for you. Anything extra you earn is the bounty of your efforts (through the grace of Allah). Those efforts can be halal or haram, but you will never have what you are truly entitled to take from you.

If Iran builds ports, be pleased for them, if India builds ports be pleased for them, for these ports will be the means of sustenance for people and they will be provided for by the endless bounty of the all mighty. Our focus should be on making the most of the opportunities we have, not on any impact anyone else trading might have.

Americans getting access through iran????

These Indians has no sense of strategic reality when they state that US need Iran to access Afghanistan . Or even that US will rely on Iran. Between Iran and Pakistan, US will always relie on Pakistan for access to Afghanistan. India need to understand strategic interest of other countries before making comments that make them look ill informed.

That is the writing on the wall but most of our politicians and chinese cannot read Hindi...Once Peace comes to Afghanistan and India/Afghanistan trade come in full swing considering Afghanistan import and export will be twice as much as Chinese imports/exports....Gawadar is doomed.

Leave it. Gwadar is developing faster than any other port in that region. It is not a matter of if but when now.

Gwadar is not a new port. It is operational for more than 10 years. Most recent report by AFP indicate only 3 ships r making port call in gwadar every month.

In Gwadar city, economic activity spurred by CPEC remains limited. A lone freighter was anchored in the port during AFP's recent visit. Only three to four arrive every month, according to port authorities.

It is a huge project. And developments are faster than any bharati can dream.

Read the link that I shared. It is the latest report about the developments that are happening in port itself and in the city in general. Far bigger and quicker than any port development.

LOL indeed; as if that substitutes for the bare minimum knowledge necessary to post.

Kaptaan.

Having a Master's degree, doesn't mean that everything you say is sane or correct. I am going to start my third year of my PhD, your point?

2017 performance of the gwadar port is abysmally low for any port. Only 9 ships made port call this year till now. All r for imports. This year till now not a single container exported via gwadar port. It is literally an empty port.

A simple one, one that an undergraduate should 'get'. You are in the third year of your PhD, and that is the only respect in which you match him. You are not
  • Founder of a well-known publisher;
  • Co-founder of a prominent newspaper;
  • Founder and founder-editor of another prominent newspaper;
  • Eighteen years a correspondent of a globally respected economic journal;
  • Caretaker Chief Minister of the most powerful province in your country;
  • Chairman of the board of one of the most powerful sports bodies in the country;
I suggest that you do your homework, and, in addition, choose whom to compare yourself to with more caution, and finally, understand what dimensions expertise takes.

Not really abysmal for port city that is developing at a very fast pace.

Seeing is believing! As a follow up to our field trip in January this year, BR Research made a short rendezvous with Gwadar last week amid growing fears that developmental work might have slowed down if not stopped in the wake of political wrangling going on in Islamabad. What we saw was entirely different!

It is just a matter of time. The so called empty port is on the right track.

Have you seen the incompetencies section of his CV? First and foremost being qualified doesn't make him any less a traitor. Secondly anyone can start a newspaper, it requires basic competencies and some money - traitors never seem to be short of that. Access to Cambridge and Oxford has as much to do with wealth and status (the size of daddys donation) as it does with education.

You call him a traitor a number of times. Don't you think that such a serious accusation should be made with greater responsibility? What gives you the right to call him that, especially considering that people of some worth and respect in public life don't seem to agree?

I don't want to go into anyone's personal views about him; that his country has trusted him in responsible positions and continues to do so is good enough for me. Your quarrel is not with me; it is with those Pakistanis who think that he is a leader and give him, and continue to give him leadership posts. Don't feel hurt, but I doubt that you can match his achievements. My problem with Atya's impertinence was precisely for the same reason; crib when you have earned the right to crib, not just as an exercise of your freedom of expression.

It is also necessary to point out that most of PDF consists of right-wing or extreme right-wing people, and it is not necessarily fairly representative of Pakistani society at the levels at which you are or he is. The views over here will always be latently against him and those like him.

Ironically, I wanted to thank you for your #31. I still think it is a balanced opinion, from an apparently unbalanced person.
