Pakistani dramas are far more superior to Bollywood: Paresh Rawal

Quite frankly mri, I feel like the cinematography in Waar was right up there with Bollywood and some Hollywood movies. You guys just don't have a big enough market.

Well first Waar's budget was 1.6 million dollars collection was 2.3 million so it did more than okay considering the budget...no one is saying Pakistani movie industry has made it but it is slowly standing up on its feet..one of the most telling signs is T.V producers,directors and actors have now started focusing on movies plus new cinemas are being built
Also the team behind Waar is already working on a new movie with even a bigger budget than Waar

I just tried to see Gulal. Do not know what was there to rave about that movie. All Anurag Kashyap movies seem the same. The crudeness, same angst against society, same ragging shots. Most of the scenes look like repeat from so many similar themed movies of 1980 and 1990s. It is like Nayak or Shiva or The Accused, only they were original at least.

Apart from Star Plus, there are many many more regional channels which produce excellent dramas. That people think Star Plus dramas are reflective of the whole gamut of Indian dramas are willfully ignorant.

I just tried to see Gulal. Do not know what was there to rave about that movie. All Anurag Kashyap movies seem the same. The crudeness, same angst against society, same ragging shots. AFAIK the one or 2 Pakistani dramas aired recently did well.
I have watched "season mangoes" and it was good.

As for the ones released in India did pretty good! .. My condolences ..
