KARACHI: Pakistani bodybuilder Abdul Malik has won gold medal in muscle mania bodybuilding championship in Florida, ARY News reported.

According to ARY News correspondent Ali Hassan, Malik was a salesman at Karachi’s Haidery market where he used to sell handbag of ladies.

He won a gold medal in 75-kilogram category of muscle mania bodybuilding championship in Florida.

Malik had left for the US to take part in bodybuilding competition, carrying only three-day meal. Our correspondent reported that the bodybuilder bore all the expenses of the competition on his own. The Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation didn’t extend any financial help to Malik.

In an interview couple of years back to a newspaper, Malik had said it was sad that in our country only cricketers get noticed. “People like me get so many offers from all over the world, like it happened recently when I was competing in Mr Asia, but no one cares about us in our own country.”

When asked if Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation is of any help to him, Malik responded. “They are too busy in their own internal politics to think about the bodybuilders.”

Actually there is misconception among many people that being bulk is a sign of masculine strength, Most people don't realize is being Healthy is more important, The guy in the above pic looks perfectly tone. The problem with being bulky is you do look great but you are on the very edge of getting over weight, you constantly have to workout.

The guy in this pic is perfect, and all these body builders eventually get so many health related issues due to abuse of steroids.

a good example is salman khan... he used to look good in his earlier films and then he bulked up... if you see the slightly recent "partner", he looks, like you said, on the verge on getting over weight... and now he looks like he has had to lose weight for his newest film "bajrangi bhaijan".

I am personally a fan of athletic and ripped bodies, the ones that have good stamina to run and do exercises, obviously looking bulky and big gets everyone's attention but I think being fit and healthy is more important than taking whey protein, steroids,synthols and testosterone and eventually getting a cancer.
