What attitude and what policy does the Army need to change?

It is the civilian government that needs to issue orders to shoot down the drons, parliament and the GoP that needs to take the decision to reject US aid and reformulate our Foriegn Policy.

The problem is that on one side peple are critical of the Army because they believe that it influences government policy, on the other hand people are critical of the Army because they WANT the Army to force the elected government to reject US Aid, shoot down the drones etc., or do the above uniliaterally without GoP support.

Mandate can only be given through elections and through the GoP and parliament endorsing decisions to reject US aid, shoot down drones, and reformulate foreign policy.

The Army has not 'mandate' to do any of the above.

Exactly, we need some detail from the ppls who need to change in army attitude, can they want to shade some light what are the problems and what they expected from army? What is the mandate that they suppose army has? And what are the authority that army has to change the policy?
As we already know that forces already brief the parliament about the situation and asked for their design, parliament passed some resolution, who is responsible for the implementation of resolution? GOP / Army or who is taking follow-up on that.
Don’t be drawn into emotions and dip into madness. This would not suggest any solution only blah.. blah.. talk in a mean able way..

Kind of funny that Army waits for GoP cooperation only for difficult tasks like taking on America. When it was toppling the democratic govts thrice in last 6 decades and supporting insurgents in the neighborhood or doing a Kargil, there was no such need for GoP's cooperation..

oh come on don't be so naive, you know what your army can do, they threw out nawaz "not so" sharif after a coup, so the same can be done with this government ??? and moreover Pakistani awam is fed up with zardari! Even the Pakistani public would support another coup. what say ?

No the people of Pakistan need to stop being confused cry babies and decide what they want..Will the people back Pakistan Army is they start acting unilaterally and if the need arises..due to non cooperation of GOP they topple the government?

I am not expecting that from a citizen of greater democratic state ... obviously coup is not the acceptable solution (in my opinion) this is not the option that ppls support.

confused people of Pakistan?? My question is that why are we seeing this time when Army itself has to ask for RESPECT. Why is the media successful in creating hatred against army? All of this is the failure of army high officials to clear the concerns of people. That is why every other anchor person comes on TV with some proofs and says LOOK THIS IS WHAT THE ARMY IS DOING!

And as far as toppling the present GOP is concerned; SURE go ahead. What are they waiting for. Judgement Day!
