America will always look for their own interests and as long as Pakistan has China as its alliance with China, America can never be truly pragmatic when dealing with Pakistan especially when it considers India to be a counter-weight to it's arch-rival.

Pakistan is dhobi ka kutta, na ghar ka na ghaat ka. We have to look after our own interests and that does not mean not to have good relations or stop any efforts towards it but it has to not be with such weak intentions of simply pleasing the other side.

the problem in a nutshell, is Pakistan is actually run by self serving jernails. Our democracy is a facade and has been since 1958 atleast. These jernails in power would sell their mothers to the US for the right amount. The Americans know this, and take full advantage of this, as anyone else would. Seriously why would any country take these duffers seriously?

I agree, but its the generals who are on the top of the food chain, atleast domestically, they carry the big stick. What direction the country goes is completely in their hands. PDM government, judiciary, and every other state institution is just along for the ride.
