Pakistani aircraft violates Indian airspace in J&K

NEW DELHI: A Pakistani aircraft reportedly violated Indian airspace on Monday when it hovered over Indian territory for almost a minute in RS Pura sector in Jammu & Kashmir before it returned, sending an alarm in the security establishment.

The incident happened on Monday around 1.05pm when a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan noticed a small silver colour, six-wing aircraft entering the Indian airspace and flying back after one minute.

The only eyewitness to the incident, he informed his seniors at RS Pura sector immediately and stated that aircraft was "clearly visible" and didn't definitely belong to the Indian Air Force.

It was not confirmed whether it was a manned aircraft or a drone unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It was also not clear whether the aircraft belonged to Pakistani army or not.The Indian Air Force was using its radars to ascertain what Pakistani aircraft was doing in Indian air-space.
However, government officials also said that it is being investigated whether BSF officer correctly noticed the aircraft in Indian airspace because he is not an expert in the planes.The BSF will submit a report on the matter to the ministry of home affairs while IAF radars were trying to establish details of violation.

Pak UAV violates Indian airspace
A Pakistani UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) violated the Indian airspace in north Kashmir’s Nowgam sector today.



Defence sources, however, said the UAV after crossing over from Azad Kashmir into the Nowgam sector, 120 km northwest of Srinagar, returned back immediately.


“There was an airspace violation by Pakistan in the Nowgam sector and the UAV remained in our territory for a brief time,” a source said.


There have been three ceasefire violations in Nowgam in the past two months, leaving a Junior Commissioned Officer and two BSF jawans dead.

& what might that be? Does it imply six propellers?

My guess is it was some sort of drone. something like this

Thanks to our incompetent defence minister , we don't have anti aircraft artillery, modern MANPADs, QR SAM, SR SAM, enough surveillance equipment or interceptors too, so the UAV can happily come and go home back.

A Pakistani helicopter violated Indian air space by crossing over to the Indian side of the international border in Arnia sector on Monday afternoon.

Official sources told The Indian Express that the violation happened around 1 pm when a two-seater civil helicopter strayed into the Indian air space. “We saw it flying over the international border at one place and suddenly it disappeared only to resurface again at some other place,” a senior official said, attributing the air space violation to a pilot error as the international border is zigzagged between the two countries.

Normally, both sides stay 4-5 kms away from the IB to avoid chances of inadvertent crossing of the zero line. However, the Pakistan civil helicopter was flying very near to the international border, he pointed out. The matter has been reported to the Ministry of Defence.

BSF spokesperson confirms that a civilian operated Ernstrom 280F, 2 seater helicopter crossed around 300-400m into Indian territory for about a minute.
It is suspected to be operated by a tourist sightseeing and expedition company

"aircraft" literally means an aircraft. A flying machine with wings and engine and probably a pilot. Don't know if Indian radars can pick a plastic made small quadcopter with no heat signature.
