Pakistan will release captured Indian pilot tomorrow as a peace gesture. Prime Minister Imran Khan

This will put India in really awkward position, specially Modi.

Still this wont help him with the public and the election...the anger of public may come down...but his election dreams have been jeopardized by this...good thing is no more possibility of attack till this pilot is released ie tomorrow...using this conflict to score in election...that window is closing way fast than i ever expected...which is a good thing for the families of the forces for both the countries...but very bad for modi ji right now.

Excellent decision. IK has taken another diplomatic wicket here. A good will gesture, sane Indians will appreciate it.

We're doing this gesture because after their elections Kulbushan is set to hang.

Just to cl;arify -

  • destroying Indian fighters that attack us and capturing Indian pilots ~ shows Pakistan is strong.
  • returning Indian pilots ~ shows Pakistan can be magnanimous.
This is exactly image of Pakistan we want to give out to the world. Strong, warriors, confident but magnanimous and honourable. And don't forget the world is watching. We showed the world we can slap the huge elephant and make it go from acting big to crying like a baby.

People need to understand that this is geopolitics and not always will an assertive tone get you points.
IK earned the respect, Give credit where its due. Thats how you learn and improve.

Releasing the pilot is actually a good step, the ball is now in India's court, I can understand people think its a weak gesture but in international diplomacy we are the mature ones and India is the one acting like a war mongering state. And don't forget he had to be released eventually, he's a POW not a hostage.

War has not been declared yet .........

Again those who were bashing Air Force 3 days ago now they are again active for this decision and then come here and will create thread " I am sorry and this and that crap" . Keep your emotions under your pants. Idiots Pakistan doesn't want war and where it will lead us?. We already shot down India's plane, we already killed their pilots and under genevoca conviction Pakistan has to release Pilot

.
According to Geneva convention then the hostilities have to end before the return so loc is still under exchange of fire and Kashmir being disputed we can hold on to the pilot under law?

Yes its possible...The Article gives an example of a US Pilot who was held for years...

Releasing of Wing Commander Abhi puts Pakistan in a better position in the eyes of the International Community. It proves that Pakistan is committed to Peace and Stability in the region...

Emotional people.

This is a very good move. It's another slap on India.

We retaliated successfully and holding onto the pilot is pointless. The whole world has seen his capture and videos.

Now we can show the world parading this pilot back to India. This is very smart diplomacy, considering we can't hold onto him forever anyways under Geneva convention.

After this move, you're going to hear many sane voices. So have some patience and faith in your Government and Armed Forces.
Mate your dumb if you think this move will somehow be in our favour,They will simply do more propaganda on his release

An excellent decision. I know he hasn't taken the decision without the nod from Army. But still I have to say that I have found new respect for IK.
