I usually use 'dear' for two people - my mom and my sister....so upto you...
I am still not sure what special things Bangladesh has done to nurture Bengali culture which West Bengalis have been unable to do. Please enlighten me.
Looking at pictures of Dhaka, it looks like any other Indian city, and the only changes I see happening are the English signboards and glass-facade buildings that have nothing to do with Bengali architecture.

Nafeez,
Calm down!
Ektu nijeke sonjoto karo!
Ami oder deke nebo!
Tomar boyesh koto?
Well for first portion of writing of urs:
What word should I use to address u showing that I have had a good counterpart as well as friend to discuss with undecided issues that we have already been talked out.
Second part:
We speak Bengali and in case of English where it needs. And whats with architecture and Bengal. Is there any link between them. Does it mean that we have to built our home with past architecture of 2thousand years back.
Establishing and Observing 'International Language Day' is the fondness of love towards bangla language is one of our contribution to show world we fight for Bangla Language and we have capabilities to do something as a nation.
Call me 'yaar' or 'dude' or the Bengali equivalent of it....not that it makes much difference to me.
Even Indian Bengalis speak Bengali, and either Hindi or English depending on ones preference.
Isn't architecture also a part of Bengali culture? Why only make it language based?
After all, you claim that only Bangladesh feels like Bengal....but as I said earlier, that hardly seems true.
Nafees,
Yes, the Bengali language is what spurred the creation of Bangladesh.
These poor Pakistanis don't understand that!
They feel that Bangladeshis are a great let down and Munshi, our in house Banglasdeshi barrister, also agrees!
Bondhu (bengali word that mean friend)
In this techno world does it possible to make home with ancient architectural view. How come?
Ah well who stopped West Bengalis from celebrating their own language day and propagating their language to the international community?
India's own national anthem is in Bengali!
Poor Indians out of nowhere now lay claims to all those achievments made by Bangladeshis.
What a pitty Sir when the developments of Bangladesh were mentioned by Nafees you were quick to claim the credit for that.
You may an Indian Bengali but you are an Indian simple as that.
All the Bangladeshis can be Bengalis but all the Bengalis cant be Bangladeshis.
But the history of establishing intl. language day was promulgated by Bangladeshis and based on the language movement in Bangladesh not in WB.
That's exactly what I'm saying....one cannot remain stagnant and refuse to change with the times.
Bengali is a great language, but don't you all learn english to get a better job?
However....it must be voluntary. Forcing Bangladeshis to give up their culture and adopt Pakistani one, or forcing Tibetans to give up their culture and become Chinese creates resentment and hatred. It usually has the opposite effect because people tend to resist the change even more.
